"Thank you! Have a great night~" Winter smiled at the last customers and soon as they left she sat on the chair near her
"That was tiring,"
"Would you explain why you're working here for almost a week now?" Karina approached the girl, running her fingers on Winter's hair to brush it softly
"Hmm," Winter felt sleepy
Karina crouched to be on her level, she quietly observed the girl while her hand is still playing with her hair
Her heart beats rapidly that it almost felt like Winter could hear it. She took a deep breath.
"Let's go home," Karina softly spoke
Winter opened her right eye to peek at the girl avoiding further more questions, "What were you guys doing here anyways?"
"We decided to follow you, we were worried because you weren't saying anything about your whereabouts," Karina responds
"I just... wanted to help Ryujin that's all," Winter said in a tired voice
Exhaustion written all over her face
"You could take a break tomorrow Minjeong since it's Saturday." Ryujin interrupted
Winter sat up straightly after hearing that, "No! Who will help you here?" She opposed of the idea
"I can probably do it myself, you're in your college years I understand you're busy and you wanted to help but studying is more important," Ryujin smiled genuinely
"No! I'll help here tomorrow, that's final." Winter stubbornly said as she stood up to get her things and go home
"Don't you have staffs in here?" Karina asked irritatedly
Ryujin's expression turned lifeless in just a matter of seconds and Karina isn't dumb to not notice that
"My father is in the hospital, I told the staffs about the situation and nobody stayed to help even just for awhile until we repay our debts, but Winter did when I told her. She immediately offered to help even if I wouldn't be able to pay her," Ryujin bit her lower lip, almost on the verge of crying
Karina was taken aback. She never knew it was that serious because Ryujin didn't looked like she's having a hard time when she saw her.
"I'm sorry.." Karina whispered
"Nah," Ryujin chuckled
Karina sighed as she watch her back walk away from her.
....
Winter woke up earlier than she expected. She was surprised to see Karina up and dressed as if she's going somewhere.
"What's the occasion?" Winter yawned, leaning her body on the door while staring at the girl fixing herself infront of the mirror
"I'll come with you," Karina replied
"Huh?"
"To the cafe," She added
"What? No!" Winter narrowed her eyes at the girl
"Why not?" Karina pouted
"Just because," There goes her famous line
"Shut up! I'll come whether you like it or not," Karina kept insisting and so she gave up
"You'll only get bored there," Winter remarked, she took her towel and quickly went in the restroom to shower
When she walked out Karina was nowhere to be found then she figured the girl was cooking.
Ms. Kim hasn't been home for a while now and she doesn't know why, whenever she comes home she'll only sleep until it's work day again. They never had the chance to talk
