"Let's end this."
After a long silence that's what Winter declared, and Karina knew it will happen... she knew this will happen but she never thought it'll be this swift. She wasn't ready.. she will never be.
She took a deep breath, her heart were torn into two when the younger spoke those to her like a sledgehammer was shattered directly into her chest. Winter looks up to her and for a moment, those eyes reminded her of how she usually would.. back then.
Shaking her head in disapproval; Karina tried to reach for her wrist but the younger flinched away.. as if she's scared to be touched by the woman she loves.
There was a big lump forming on her throat, she wanted to talk but no words would come out of her mouth.
"I'm going." Winter brushed past her and that's when she got the courage to stop her.
"Y-you.. promised me Minjeong" Karina's voice broke
"You told me you love me.." Her knees trembled as she gather all the strength left in her to wrap her arms around the younger's waist
"You promised you wouldn't leave."
Winter was stagnant, she's covering her real emotions by a cold demeanor but maybe if you listen carefully, you would be able to hear her heart slowly shatter into pieces.
"And you said you're marrying me," voice cold with a pained expression
The facade she's been wearing faltered by her own words, it hurts. The tears she's been keeping for days finally strolled down her once rounded cheeks
Karina released from the hug, she slowly backed away as she covered her mouth to stop herself from crying out loud.
"W-where did I go wrong?" she asked, breaking the silence that stretched in the air
"We're over. I'm breaking up with you." Her voice was calm, in contrast to her eyes
Karina was taken aback, "Don't do this Winter!" She sounded desperate
Winter was struggling from her clasp, tears blurrying her vision she silently whimpered in pain
