It was cold and dark in the large corridors that appeared as some kind of maze for Rinea this early in the morning. She was used to spending some time in the Main Palace, but mostly her work was after ten had already passed. Till then she took care of some tasks in Leo's mansion and then went to see Cassian and Sirius for another day again.

But now strolling around those corridors made her be haunted by very unpleasant feelings. The hunch that something really terrible awaited her didn't leave her since the morning. And the most disturbing thought of all was that she had once called this place her second home.

'Where work is, is where half of me is, wasn't it something of this sort?'

Steven had once suggested that working was as essential for one as their own home. For him personally, it meant even more. Well, since he could remember, Steven had always lived with Leo, so for him work was his whole life.

And as he had added then, for Leo it was the same too, even though his Master may not be willing to agree with that.

'Ha, Leo...'

When she was told about the sudden arrival of a knight, in her head the image of Leo appeared. Wasn't it possible that he may have returned? Leo's absence was too long to put up with anyway. It was finally time for him to appear. Moreover, if this sudden meeting was about the person Rinea thought it was, all the more reasons for Leo to finally show up.

"Nice timing. Princess of Eccentricity."

"Princess of..."

Then it suddenly dawned on her.

"Sirius!" She half-yelled, half-mumbled in anger.

"Nice to meet you as well." The younger boy grinned.

"You..." Her eyes narrowed in annoyance.

"...Bringing up with your wonderful shadows?"

"They are very useful, aren't they?"

Of course, they were. The ability to control shadows was one many would wish to obtain. It literally gave its user many abilities such as teleportation, the example of which was how he got near her without the girl realizing it.

They had never had the best relationship, but he was pretty much amazing in handling this powerful quirk of his, even though he wasn't born with it.

So, his presence in the silent and empty corridor made her wonder, "Did you come earlier?"

"It may be also said I arrived late as you."

"Then, why are you here?"

"Missing you very much?"

"Who do you think you are speaking with?"

"Sorry, I forgot. The Eccentric..."

"Shut up!"

"What a sweet tongue you have there!"

"You are such an assh..."

"Kindness is so rare. You seem to possess a very unique part of it. It actually doesn't seem to have any of its characteristics."

"As if you do have any of it in yourself."

Sirius met her eyes with a laughing look and added rather carefully, "I'm still working on this one."

"What's gotten you here, anyway? I thought you would be with His Grace? Or the Duchess."

"My mum is not coming. Some problems to take care of. Dad has been in here since last night. Those members are pretty busy these days."
