It was strange. Was that the palace or...

It was a very large room. A fancy one at that. Tasia gasped. As her eyes – no, the eyes of the person, who possessed the memory – trailed to her hands and lower part of her body she assumed it was a man.

A man?!

She had never had visions from a man's memory. As she knew, Cassian hadn't either. They both saw the same things most of the time. Well, some times she saw something he didn't or the opposite.

But...

I know this place.

"Who are you?"

A female voice asked sternly and the man turned around. It was a beautiful tall woman with red hair made into two braids that fell over her shoulders and chest. She wore a mix of blue clothes that neither were from Hares, nor from Syris. Her bright blue eyes glared at the man.

Mum?!

That was a younger version of her mother. Pretty younger at that. As if... Tasia froze for a moment thinking. As if she was ten years younger.

This one is probably pregnant with us!

That was why she thought the room was familiar. It was from her grandparents' home, the Morina estate in Syris. And Tasia knew that her mother had travelled to visit her parents just after she had found out she was pregnant.

"What do you want? Why are you here in Syris, Haresian?"

"Oh, what an unpleasant meeting we have," the man smirked. "And here I thought we can have a nice chat."

"Cut it out! Who are you!"

"My name is nothing important, princess. Well, in the name of our negotiations you can call me Seth."

"Seth?" Hazel repeated in confusion as if trying to recall a person with this name.

"Quit trying. You don't know who I am. Well, I am certainly familiar with you, don't worry."

Ha...?!

"Well, what a good reassurance!" Hazel snapped sharply.

She too thought he was a jerk. Like mother, like daughter.

"What do you want then? Why did you have to set all the horses free? Do you know how much they mean for the countess?"

"We needed some distraction for our conversation to proceed further, so that was a good enough plan. Don't worry, princess, they will come back eventually."

Un animal controller?

"Well then, say what you are here for."

"You... Have a lot of enemies, princess. More than you think and not the ones you think. Did you think I were here to harm you? I am after you, yes, but not for your head or..."

His eyes glued to Hazel's clothes over her stomach.

"I'm not here for them either."

Hazel crossed her hands over her chest.

"Then for what?"

"I friendly warning, you can say. I know you want to buy yourself time staying here but I don't suggest you doing that for long. Not only you endanger the people around you, but you lose time too. I'm pretty sure that's nothing you want, princess."

"Well then, Seth, so you actually know why I am here. And who are after me."

The man didn't deny it, nor confirm. So, it was true after all.
