Tara smashed the box into the wall out of anger. The loud sound that was emitted when in collided with the wall was unmistakable. Yeah, it was indeed something frangible.

The door to her bedroom flew open and an extremely annoying voice yelled, "Tara, are you alright?!"

"I'm fine!" She snarled through her teeth.

Jax studied her figure, then the messed up room she was in and his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Don't make me laugh, sis. You are not."

"Oh, what a genius! And so, what?!"

She looked mad, some part of her seemed to have died along with the people they had buried just two day ago. It was probably some – if not all – of her rationality.

Jax's features softened under her glare. He stretched his hands.

"Come, sis. I can..."

"What? What can you do, brother? Can you perhaps make her come back? Will I be able to see her again...?"

Her voice cracked on the way of her snarling and she sobbed, covering her face. Jax moved to reach her and wrapped his hands around her comfortingly.

"It's okay, sh-h-h..."

"It-It's n-n-not! Those gifts t-too...what t-the h-hell! W-Why...?"

Jax glanced at the wall where the box had been smashed into and frowned. He had informed the staff not to let anyone here, except for their friends – at some point he doubted if he had to include Leo in the NO-list too – but he had failed to think about the gifts.

People tried so hard to appeal to them now when they had the golden chance to. Even though it was clearer than day that they had no relationship with the Grand Duke of Callios, people seemed more than eager to make acquaintance with them.

"...I-I...I hate th-this!"

His hand drew circles on the back of her pajama.

"Me too, me too..."

He hated this. He resented this situation so much. If he had even guessed just a bit of the extent this ridiculous death of Rinea's would impact his sister, Jax would probably have had her imprisoned in their own estate before the talks about the meeting had even started.

Goddess, she had been training with Leo two years or so he had heard. Couldn't he had taught her some lessons how to avoid death? And he too...

Leo had spent time with Tara only for during the procession.

He had left her completely alone!

'That damn bastard...!'

Jax resented swearing, but now he felt like doing exactly that. He was so enraged at Leo and Rinea.

The first failed to comfort his lovely sister and...

The second couldn't even stay alive for the sake of the people who cared about her.

The whole squadron went into silent mourning. They were still training, but rumors said it wasn't so lively and funny when they looked at their training ground.

Leo was missing for two whole ways after the funeral. One could say he had finally decided there was no meaning in his life and had killed himself.

Surprisingly enough, there were many young ladies from the low and high aristocracy circles who came as well. Some young masters too.

All of Leo's staff came. It was said they were given a few days off for mourning.

The Talis ducal family and the Grand duke of Callios also came.
