Was she a murderer, the next chosen one or the goddess herself, one thing was clear. This silver-haired blind girl had stolen everyone's breathe away.
'What a person,' many thought.
With the ability to bend everyone's mind and attract one's attention in an instant. From the first moment her presence in the throne hall made something more than clear. It was not a coincidence, nor it was the possibility she had slayed many, that she was summoned to come here by no one but the king himself.
The one that had intriguingly laid his eyes on her with a smirk on his face that had widened the edges of his lips.
"I missed worthy entertainment."
Smiling, the girl said with harshness well-read in her tone, "Entertainment, you say? When we don't even know each other at all? That's the revolutionary king for you..."
She mumbled the last one, but it appeared she was intentionally not being too careful. Some overheard her last words and mumbling filled the hall.
"It's always quite refreshing to talk to the youth." The king laughed heartily.
Rinea stared blankly at him. Not having been dismissed yet, she stayed with one knee to the ground and her head slightly bent. Since the king wasn't particularly interested in her, she was now freely observing his expression with new-found fascination.
"Youth, you say? So I may be interesting to His Majesty? I'm flattered."
"It's only natural and you shouldn't be flattered. Aren't you the one you appear to be?"
"Ah, so, you mean I must stay true to myself? What a nice compliment, Your Majesty."
"I had no intention to make such a compliment."
"Ah, you are so funny, Your Majesty."
Rinea gulped in discomfort. She didn't need to read mana to sense Yuriel's irritation. She was like a coiled spring, ready to burst out in any second. Rinea wouldn't be surprised if the Saintess was actually gritting her teeth every time she spoke to the king.
"Excuse my rudeness, but I was never supposed to appear before such a renowned public. I was never born to be a perfect lady in the first place. May I finally know why was I summoned here?"
The ruler smiled. This time Rinea felt her stomach tighten in two and she knew nothing good awaited when such a peculiar expression had made its way to the king's face.
"I was hopeful you would ask this question sooner. Now we can finally leave the formalities, shall we?"
"..."
"Appear, Crown Prince. Make yourself known to the present."
...Huh?
'No...'
Rinea gasped and before she was able even to blink once, the appearance of strong and widely spread mana caught her attention. It happened in just a second or even less.
She quickly turned around – not paying attention to how she appeared to look before the others – and stared blankly at the sight that unfolded before her eyes.
'Ha?! This...thing...?!'
She gritted her teeth as she saw the backs of no other than the Crown Prince and her longtime friend Cassian and...the imposter, the thing they referred to as 'Tasia'.
"I will now lead this meeting to its true purpose. And will bring justice one and for all. For the victim that stands bravely here with us and for the present to make something clear. No criminal shall escape this hall today or ever!"
