Emily.
She was three years older than Rinea and a very powerful figure at the young age of seventeen. 'The Flower of Hares', that was how people called her. She was the Flower, the most intelligent person in Hares, having graduated the Academy for just two years after passing the entrance test with the second high result at the age of thirteen – two years before the few Haresian were able to pass it and become students of the Academy.
But even with her given honor, Emily was still very rude and snide. And she hadn't forgiven Rinea her leaving. It was all because of her little sister that she was able to reach such a high level in the high society in Hares. And without much talent and knowledge her place was shaking under her feet.
That made her quite annoyed.
"What are you looking at? Haven't you seen the Flower yet? Or you have no manners at all."
It wasn't the shock that kept Rinea staring at Emily. It was actually her face.
'She's pale...'
Too pale. And her cheeks and under her eyes...
'She's blowsy... More than it's healthy to be.'
And under her eyes there were black circles. Such that even the heavy make-up couldn't completely erase. Was her sister ill?
Rinea blinked as Emily's words eventually came to her mind and she realized what she was doing. She was ashamed because she had been staring at her, yes, but a curtsey was unacceptable.
"I don't understand what you mean, Flower. We both are Hera. As equal in rank I don..."
"Equal? Who is equal to whom? Don't make me remind you of your pathetic rank in society, sister. I'm the first born daughter and the Flower..." She looked at her with a nocking smile, her eyes full of malice.
"While you are unrecognized..."
"That may be so, but I'm under the protection of the captain of the royal knighs' unit, so I don't see why I should pay you any respect as what you mentioned."
Emily's face became redder, because of the unrestrained anger she wasn't able to hide. Now she looked more like a pitiful girl, who was just now learning her place in society, than the so called Flower, a fairy figure, which held both power and elegance in its hands.
Rinea felt a squeezing on her shoulder and looked at her right. Gale was looking at her with his sunlight eyes and was smiling at her. Such pure feelings of warm had never been shown to her and she...
Rinea gasped.
"Good job, Rin-Rin!" He grinned.
"Don't you hurry celebrating your victory of being accepted by the outcast Hera, sister."
Rinea turned her attention towards Emily and shrugged, "I prefer him rather than you. He may be an outcast, but your souls are the dirty ones. At least Leo doesn't use violence and deception."
Emily hadn't changed, that was more than clear. But still...
'Her energy is strangely... plummeting.'
This illness of Emily's was eating away her energy and mana very fast.
Tasia had never been good at teleportating. It was safe to say that she had been avoiding using such magic spells, in order to not get into trouble... And she wasn't one of those, fearing her own lost. Tasia knew well which were her weaknesses and sadly, teleportation was one of them.
'And in such situation...'
They desperately needed to reach the Main Palace in no time. And for Tasia's dismay she had to rely on this type of transportation.
