The prince's residence and his party's was currently at the Silver Palace. The former home for all queens for centuries had been completely empty and available for the Syrian delegation at their arrival in Hares.
But... Why the prince's room was so big and so... gorgeous? It was just unfair compared to the others' rooms.
"Did you perhaps ask for a bigger one?" Tarik asked curiously.
Tasia was thinking the same. Why was her room about two times smaller than his? They were supposed to be equal!
"You have to be kidding me," Noah laughed. "I'm not such a person."
Keid who had been observing the scene silently frowned slightly. There was it! Even her calm and rational knight was indignant.
"If you want, I'll request..."
"No!" Tasia exclaimed immediately. The men looked at her all with different emotions at their faces and she added quickly: "You do not want to annoy them right now, do you? After that meeting with the king."
Noah nodded and Tarik clicked his tongue.
"How do they even dare to say such a thing when I have served His Highness for more than ten years."
"Keid too is well known for his loyalty. He wouldn't do any harm to his master. Right, Keid?"
Keid smiled a bit.
"I won't ever betray you, lady Tasia."
"He's your knight, not his," Tarik objected.
He of course didn't know anything about the request Tasia made to Keid a few days ago. And she didn't intend to inform him about that too.
"It's supposed to be a one month stay, so the suffer won't be long," she added with a smile. "How are your plans for the next few days, Noah? Any unexpected meetings or so?"
She made her way to his huge bed and sat on it. It was quite soft and the feeling of sitting on a cloud overwhelmed her mind.
"Nothing new. I guess everything is going as planned. Your visits to the Haresian magical monuments are going to end soon, am I right?"
Tasia sighed relieved.
"Yeah, though it was quite interesting," Tarik said chuckling. "I couldn't even imagine that our medical genious was called after a Saintess."
"Was that the only thing your mind come up with?" Tasia asked annoyed. "You really have a lot of free time these days."
"What?! Of course not!" He yelled at her.
'They are fighting again?' Keid observed the scene silently when the prince asked:
"You really like her, don't you?"
Keid looked at him in confusion but said:
"What do you mean, Your Highness?"
"You know, Noah is just fine."
"Your Highness, I couldn't understand you," the knight insisted on the formal way of speaking.
"I was the one who suggested you to be her first guard. I wasn't sure how you two will get along with each other. But now I see that you two have grown with the relationship of not only a master and a knight but friends."
Keid remained silent. The prince's words swirling in his mind.
The appearance of not only the prince of Syris but his party too was a good thing. That meant Noah had persuaded enough the king that his own people had been accepted by him.
"Your Majesty...?"
Though Noah wanted to ask him something. Why was the king so unpredictable? Why did he inform them an hour or less before expecting to meet them in the throne room?
"It's such a pleasure to meet you all here today," the king said with a smile.
That one wasn't warming at all. It was as if Rhys Kai de Akrara was laughing at them. Tasia struggled to keep herself calm too when that thought crossed her mind too. The whole party remained silent looking at the smiling king.
"I have requested your presence to inform you about something. You have come just in time. Haresians celebrate the Greatest Priests' days in this time of the year. They are nine days in total, three days for every one of them. I sincerely ask you to be part of these significant for all Haresians days," at his last words the king looked at Tasia carelessly.
Ha! Was he even a bit careful? With that attitude of his she for sure was going to be revealed by someone.
'You know that's too dangerous, don't you?'
'Of course I know,' her twin said with an annoyed voice. 'But what are you even expecting? I don't possess such great power in Hares as you think.'
'Then why is he behaving like that? It's like he's begging for someone to connect the thing together and find out everything.'
Cassian's stern expression said it all. He too had no idea why the king was behaving in such a way. That was no help at all.
"... n do that, prince Noah?"
Without realizing, Tasia had skipped a part of their talk. She looked at Tarik to see his expression which was a bit nervous.
What was he saying just now?
"I'll be there and will represent Syris as a peaceful and honourable political partner of Hares."
"Good. Then may I present you probably the most important role of the celebration? We call it The Priests' days for short. The one that lead the nation will be the current priest that possess healing magic. This person is called Liliana Sirmaya and she is a part of the Magic Temple of Hares."
Tasia froze at the moment the name of the saintess was called. Behind them a sound of massive doors opening was heard and a quiet calm voice said:
"Greetings, Syrisians. I'm Liliana, the current saintess."
They all turned back to see a blond haired woman in her mid thirties at least standing a few meters from them. Hew smile seemed warming and angelic.
Tasia felt herself trembling. Noah's hand hugged her from one side while looking at the newcomer who addressed herself as a saintess with a fake smile.
"We'll be in your care, lady Sirmaya."
He didn't call her 'saintess'. That was because he knew the woman was everything but a saint.
