(Y/n)'s P.O.V.
After a few days off from class because of the USJ attack we headed back and like many other people I found myself wondering who our substitute would be since Mr Aizawa was injured so badly. The door opened and I felt my jaw drop,
"Hello class." Standing there, covered in bandages was our teacher. I managed to fing my voice and half stuttered out,
"I- uh- shouldn't you be resting? You looked pretty messed up after the attack."
"My injuries need to be no concern of yours, after all we have another battle to fight." The whole class tensed, Not more villains... "The UA sports festival is coming up." I let out a sigh of relief and felt myself getting pumped up. This is my chance to show everyone that just cause I'm quirkless doesn't mean I can't be a hero! Other people were getting exited but Jiro looked slightly skeptical,
"Is it really safe to have it so soon after the attack?"
"The sports festival is such a big event that it's far too important to cancel since it's the best opportunity to get scouted by pro heroes. We'll be upping security this year though and since tons of pro's always show up there should be no need to worry." Lessons continued throughout the day but I found myself zoning out several times, thinking of the sports festival ahead. When the day finally ended I tried to leave but saw a crowd of people in front of the doorway,
"Um excuse me, I need to get home..."
"Are you that stupid Normie? They're here to scout out the competition since we're the class that survived the villain attack." I sucked in a breath,
"Don't call me Normie. If anything you're the normal one since I'm part of the 20%."
"You know I expected to see the class who defeated the villains at the USJ. Not a quirkless girl and an angry pomeranian snapping at each others necks." I looked over and saw a kid with messy lavender colored hair and tired eyes the same color "You do realize if they wish for it if someone from the General Education course does well in the sports festival they can get transferred into the hero course." His gaze traveled over to me, "That means anyone who perhaps doesn't need the spot could get booted out." I stepped forward but felt someone holding me back,
"I'll have you know I got my spot fair and square. But if you want to pick a fight with me I encourage you to wait until the festival."
"(Y/n) he's not worth it." Denki said, pulling me back a little and the purple haired kid just smirked,
"I'd be happy to fight you, (Y/n)."
"I did not say you could call me that-" I felt myself go blank for a second and when I snapped out of it the crowd had dispersed and most of the class was gone. "What on earth happened?"
"No idea but I think it was that kids quirk. Why did you let him rile you up?" Denki asked, his voice a mix of concern and exasperation.
"I'm tired of people looking down on me like I'm lower than dirt just because of something I can't control. I'm going to get through this whole damn sports festival and that will prove to everyone I can be a hero." Denki just sighed,
"Just don't get yourself killed in the process please..."
Aizawa's P.O.V.
"She's determined, I can give you that." Mic commented as we watched Kaminari and (L/n) walk down the hallway.
"Honestly reminds me of you in high school. Acts like a dumbass but is actually extremely smart and determined."
"Excuse me I am almost 31 years old and still a complete moron."
"See what I mean?"
"Lets just change the subject, how's your theory coming along?" I groaned and rolled my eyes,
"Theres no proof. Besides when I tried to call her mother she hung up so fast I forgot her quirk wasn't super speed."
"Well let me know if you come across something." Mic said before walking away and I nodded slightly. Theres no way it isn't true but theres no proof and her mother won't talk to me. How do I prove this?
