(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

Mr Aizawa walked into the classroom, his bandages finally mostly off, with only a scar on his cheek showing he had any sort of facial damage.

"Alright class. First things first internships are starting up, so you'll be signing up for those. No matter whether or not you got requests everyone can do an internship. Doing field work means you'll start getting recognized as pros. And for that you'll need-"

"Code names!" Midnight burst into the classroom and I threw a wad of paper at Mineta who wasn't quite looking her in the eyes.

"Midnight will be the one approving and disapproving your hero names."

"Why aren't you doing it sir?" Tsu asked and Midnight laughed,

"Eraser isn't the best with hero names. An old friend had to pick his out." I figured it was Present Mic and nodded as the pro hero passed out whiteboards and markers. I stared at my whiteboard and thought about hero names.

I can't exactly pick mine based off my quirk. Despite all of Denki's jokes I'm not making my hero name Eevee. What can I pick...?

"All right are you ready to present these?" I had only just finished writing my name down when Midnight spoke and I looked up, panicked. We're doing what now!?

"I'll go first mademoiselle." Aoyama stepped up to the podium and placed his board down. "I'm the Shining Hero, I Can Not Stop Twinkling."

"Hmm. Maybe remove the "I" then shorten "can not" to "can't" that's better." Midnight approved the name and I blinked in confusion.

I guess it's cool but it's a full sentence.

Mina ran up to the stand next, grinning as he held her board up.

"I'm Alien Queen!"

"Like that old American horror movie!? No way!"

"Awwww..." I started getting nervous and was about to erase my hero name when Tsu spoke,

"The Rainy Day Hero: Froppy." I sighed at the more normal hero name and removed my sleeve from the board, leaving what I had written in tact.

After several more presentations Midnight looked over to me,

"(L/n)?" I took a breath and went up to the board,

"The Quirkless Hero: Monarch." Midnight narrowed her eyes,

"I love the name Monarch, there a very beautiful but actually poisonous butterfly. But do you really want to include the fact that your quirkless?" I nodded fiercely,

"I don't care if people look down on me or call me weak. I was ashamed of something I couldn't control for way to long, as being quirkless becomes less and less common I want to prove to the children who are that they don't have to give up on their dreams because a small setback. I certainly didn't." Midnight gave me a smile, her eyes softening,

"Well than, I approve."

"Monarch! Monarch!" I felt my ears burn as the class called my hero name and I sat down in my seat, a shy grin on my face. Time to remove "I can't" from children's vocabulary. Time to show the world what people like me can really do.

Lunch came around and I ate quickly so I could look over my internship requests.

"Oooh Best Jeanist."

"Fat chance, I'm going there." I looked over at the ash blonde sitting across from me and raised an eyebrow,

"Thought you didn't hate me anymore."

"I understand how you got into UA. Your still annoying as shit." I rolled my eyes and kept looking over the list.

"Well lucky for you asshole I don't feel like going to a hugely known agency anyway. My moms pregnant and I don't want to give her any heart attacks by getting caught up in something huge." Denki looked over and grinned,

"Your gonna be a sister?"

"Yeah. I'm honestly pretty exited but I probably didn't seem like that since the news was laced with the fact that they didn't watch the last rounds of the sports festival." I turned back to my papers and quickly started talking before anyone could ask any questions, "I think I might go to Manual, he's a pretty cool hero and I know he worked for Ingenium before his recent injury and he was always nice." I started filling out my paperwork and Sero spoke up tentatively,

"What do you mean they didn't watch it? You were awesome." I sighed and just started fiddling with my pen.

"Let's just say that in there eyes I'm still that four year old girl, sniveling and asking if I could still be a hero like mommy after the doctor said I'd never develop a quirk. I really don't feel like talking about it."

There was complete silence at the table, even Bakugo was shifting slightly in his chair and suddenly Denki spoke up,

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure soon enough they'll start seeing you as the dove year old walking on top of the monkey bars without any sign of fear." I laughed, and while this only meant something to the two of us it seemed to lighten the mood around the table and soon enough we were all laughing and joking, with Bakugo yelling at us.

I turned in my internship request by the end of the day and headed home. Once I got there I saw an all too familiar pair of shoes I hadn't seen in a long time, and talking from the living room. Oh god know. Please let it be grandma and grandpa (L/n), not-

I really didn't meant to hate my dads parents. But since they haven't shown up since my parents wedding because they hated my dad took moms last name, the fact that I were born out of wedlock, and that they were pretty discriminatory against quirkless people it was kind of hard not to.

I took my time making my way to the living room and was surprised to see a huge grin on my grandmothers face.

"There you are! Come on in, your mother just told me that she's giving your," she coughed, "Grandfather, and I our first grandchild."
