Chapter 14

The rest of the sports festival passed by and after a very interesting awards ceremony which included Todoroki probably having an existential crisis and Bakugo needing to be tied up we all headed back to our classes.

"Alright, we're going to have a few days off so everyone can recover then we'll be back in school. See you all Monday." I got up from my chair and Ashido came over.

"Hey wanna have a sleepover with me and the rest of the girls? Unless your doing something with Kaminari that is." I laughed,

"We're not attached at the hip. Who's house is it at?"

"Yayorozu's. Here give me your number and I can send you the information." I nodded and handed over my phone, letting her copy down the number. "See you later (L/n)!"

"See you later!" I started walking out and turned around at a hand on my shoulder. "Oh, hey Denki."

"Hey um... I really am sorry for earlier. I said some things I shouldn't have and I didn't even think about how it would affect you." I shrugged,

"We all know I can't stay mad at you and I appreciate the apology but you also really need to think before you speak. I also said some shitty things and I'm sorry for that."

"Nah I kinda deserved it. I'll really make it up to you by getting Bakugo to like you. Kirishima invited me and Sero over and I think he's trying to get Bakugo to come as well."

"I actually think he kind of respects me but thank you." We took the train home and I headed inside to see my parents excitedly talking. "Hi I'm home."

"Oh (Y/n) we have big news come sit down!" Mom said, trying her best to keep her composure. I slid my shoes off and threw my backpack by the door, sitting at the kitchen table.

"What's the news." Moms grin went even wider than before,

"Well I went to the doctor this morning to confirm a suspicion your father and I have had for a while and guess what?"

"What?"

"Your going to be a big sister!" I was a bit shocked but smiled,

"Your pregnant mom?"

"That's right." I gave her a hug and then looked at both my parents.

"Did you watch the last round of the sports festival? I nearly beat Bakugo." Mom and dads exited looks dropped and they shared a glance.

"We saw the first two rounds but had to turn it off during your fight with Kirishima since it was a little intense." My mood dropped but I figured with the request behind my lips now wasn't the time to argue.

"Ok. Can I go over to a friends house tonight? She invited all the girls over."

"Of course sweetheart." Dad said, "I'm glad to see your making more girl friends. Not that Denki is a bad friend." I nodded and went upstairs to pack a bag, feeling frustration bubbling inside of me. I never had any "girl friends." Dad. Also you couldn't stand to watch something I'm proud for doing...? How do you see me?

I made it to Yayorozu's house, or should I say mansion, and knocked on the door.

"Oh (L/n)! Come on, everyone's here!" I headed inside and followed Yayorozu to the living room.

"Hey! I brought my switch but I only have a few controllers."

"Oh, looks like we had the same idea." Jiro said, laughing slightly as she held up her own device. Ashido grabbed my hand, pulling me to the ground.

"I'm so glad you came!"

"Yeah! We weren't sure if you maybe wanted to hang out with Kaminari or other middle school friends." Hagakure added and I chuckled, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Was there anyone quirkless in your guys middle school...?"

"I think so? He wasn't treated super badly though. He was also a few years younger." Asui said and I groaned,

"Lucky... I had one friend. And his name is Denki Kaminari. Other than that everyone else bullied me, ignored me, were passive aggressive if forced to talk to me, or were teachers. Denki did have other friends but he eventually stopped hanging out with them because those friends were on the passive aggressive - ignore side of the spectrum."

"Well we're your friends now weather you like it or not." Ashido declared and I laughed,

"Don't worry, I'm fine with that."

Later in the night I sat on the floor, letting Hagakure style my hair as we all chatted.

"Sooo, are you and Kaminari just friends or is there something else going on?" I choked on my drink, spilling liquid on myself for the second time that day at Hagakure's question. All eyes were turned on me all of a sudden as I coughed.

"I was wondering that too, actually you guys are pretty close. But your face constantly turns red when your around him." Uraraka mentioned and of course at this my face turned red.

"We're just friends, seriously. I really don't know my feelings for him right now but honestly I just feel better being around him and he just makes me happier then ever." I stopped for a second then felt myself go even redder. "Holy shit I'm in love-"

"Have you never had a crush before?" Yayorozu asked and I looked away.

"There was this one guy who I did like but he asked me out as a joke. Both because of the fact I'm quirkless and because he made a bet that he could pull the kid of a pro hero. I still think he has the electrical burns."

Kaminari's P.O.V.

"Dunce face I swear to god quit talking about her or I'll blow you to kingdom come!"

"I'd rather you didn't!" I held up my hands defensively and Kirishima tugged Bakugo down onto the floor.

"Dude calm down and let Kaminari talk. I wanna hear this." I looked out Kirishimas bedroom window, forgetting it wasn't mine for a second and momentarily wondered why I couldn't see (Y/n) in her bedroom.

"No it's fine. I shouldn't ramble about my childhood friend all night. Let's play Mario Party."

We've known each other for too long... I'm probably just like a brother to her.
