The UA cultural festival. Different from the sports festival which puts the spotlight on the hero course, the cultural festival allows all courses to shine.
My class decided to do a kind of concert / dance party thing and I was on the dance team, unfortunately I was more graceful on the battlefield than I was on the dance floor.
"(Y/n)..." Mina pulled me off the floor, a slightly exasperated tone in her voice and I found myself getting frustrated,
"I'm sorry, I'm trying ok!"
"I know. Don't worry about it, ok? I'll get you to be the perfect dancer by the time we're done." I nodded and took a deep breath, brushing off my leggings.
"I got this."
"That's right, don't worry I won't make you do any jumping or anything like that."
By the end of the day I was bruised and sweaty but doing better. I headed inside with the rest of the dance troupe and pulled Bakugo down off his stool by the back of the shirt to keep him from yelling at Denki.
"(Y/n), I am forever if your debt my goddess!"
"Say that again and I'm letting him hit you. What's even going on?"
"Dunce face here keeps fucking up!"
"Yeah well Bakugo keeps making notes up!"
"Its day- what 2, 3 of practice? Bakugo you can't be doing that."
"I'm sorry, is this your group!? Let me go!"
"It's not my group but it is my business if you start yelling at my boyfriend about a problem you caused. So be nice or I'm doing a lot worse than pulling you off a chair. Now I'm sore and sweaty so I'm taking a shower and when I come out here you better be playing nice or so help me I am oversalting your food when you aren't looking."
I let Bakugo go and headed upstairs into my dorm, peeling off my sweaty clothes and putting on a playlist.
The hot water felt amazing over my aching body and I spent an extra long time massaging myself with the loofah. I was going to be in pain tomorrow but for now I'd enjoy this calming sensation.
I got out of the shower and pulled on a pair of sweats along with a t-shirt I'm like 90% sure belonged to Denki but we were such similar sizes and spent so much time together that we got our clothes mixed up all the time. One day a couple summers ago I had actually caught him wearing one of my crop-tops.
And looking way better in it than me, the jerk.
I headed back downstairs and flopped down on the couch, looking around the common room. The band had gone their separate ways, Bakugo in the kitchen cooking dinner and mostly calm (Good I think I actually would have died if I did over-salt his food) and Denki at the end of the couch on his phone. He grinned when he saw me and came over, laying his head on my chest while I wrapped my arms around him,
"Hey babe."
"Thanks for helping me earlier."
"No problem. I was exhausted and cranky, he should have known better."
"Quit talking about me or I'll kick your ass!"
"Try it!" I yelled back and then turned back to Denki.
"If you fall asleep on me I'm shoving you off."
"You wouldn't."
"I don't know, would I?" I wouldn't, but it was fun messing with him.
"I'm too handsome." Ok, never mind. I rotated my body and he squawked, falling onto the carpet. "Fuck you!"
"Later darling." Denki turned red and Jiro choked on her drink, trying not to wheeze with laughter. I giggled and had to vault over the couch as Denki began to chase me around the common room. He eventually caught up with me and grabbed me around the middle, holding my arms to my sides and peppering my cheeks and neck with kisses from behind.
"This is what you get!"
"Is this supposed to be a punishment?" I laughed.
"Get a room you two!" Sero yelled and I rolled my eyes, smiling as I escaped Denki's grasp.
We were a chaotic class sure enough but I knew we were going to put on a damn good performance
