Settling into the dorms was both easy and hard.
On one hand I woke up the first like 3 mornings and freaked out forgetting where I was.
But on the other hand it was nice being able to see my friends everyday and after about a week I adapted.
Which was good because that's when Mr Aizawa blasted an air horn while were all waking up during breakfast and told us to get our asses in gear because training to get our provisional licences was starting today.
Ok he didn't say it like that but it was implied.
But there was in fact use of an air horn.
Poor Denki short-circuited himself in shock.
It didn't fully work on me because once the initial shock wore off I was back to yawning and let out a big one when Mr Aizawa came into the room to explain today's training exercise.
"Now, the training camp was originally meant for you to get your provisional licences but with everything that happened that never did. First week of September the opportunity will come up again but since you'll be facing 2nd and a couple 3rd years you need to be trained up. Costumes on, head to Gym Gamma."
Cementoss and Ectoplasm had joined us when we all got down to the gym and I tugged at the snug collar of my costume, regretting my choice for a black suit in the heat of the building. Thank god the air conditioner turned on because once Todoroki and Bakugo got their quirks activated there was no telling how warm it would get in here and Mr Aizawa came to the front to speak.
"I'm sure you all have heard of Ultimate moves. These are moves that finish a battle, like All Might's smashes or Kamui Woods lacquered chain prison. They don't have to be flashy or even offensive. They just have to get your enemy down fast. Yes (L/n)?"
"Can I just go back to the dorms?" Denki snorted and elbowed me in the ribs, not very effectively given that he was trying not to cackle out loud.
"No you may not. You and I can talk about what your ultimate moves could look like."
"Ok."
Cementoss made giant stone pillers and everyone made their way up one while I stayed down with Mr Aizawa.
"Why don't you think you can do an ultimate move?"
"I don't exactly have the ability to. The one time I knocked someone out was Denki during a pillow fight. And that was an accident."
"Clearly you have the strength too then."
"Yeah but I don't think anyone here is going to let me knock them out."
"Knock me out."
"You're my teacher."
"For the hero course. I've been accidentally knocked out by kids before, you do it on purpose."
"You asked for it." I ran managed to run up a slightly slanted chunk of rock and leapt off of it, aiming a kick for the back of his head. Obviously I was using the side of my foot because of the steel on my boots but it didn't matter because he dodged anyway.
"I never said I'd make it easy."
I spent an entire morning trying to knock out my 6 foot tall pro hero teacher and while I didn't manage that I did get some good tips on fighting someone larger than me.
While simultaneously getting my ass kicked.
"Were... you... holding... back... during... the... finals...?" I panted between breaths as I massaged the newest bruise on my arm.
"I had those weights on remember? Also you have gotten a couple hits on me."
"Yeah with my staff. Its easy for that thing to get disarmed though."
"We'll work on that too." I nodded and followed the rest of my class out of the gym, limping slightly from a bruise on the back of my thigh. I hobbled up behind Denki and draped my arms over his shoulders.
"I wish to be princess carried off the battlefield."
"Are you ok?"
"You try fighting Mr Aizawa for a solid five hours."
"Yikes no thank you. Here." He knelt down and lifted me into a piggyback ride. I sighed and leaned my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. "Hey no falling asleep, we need to change back."
"Just leave me on the floor outside the girls locker room I'll nap there."
"How about instead you get changed and then meet me in my dorm?"
"I'm not going to do that kind of sleep with you. To tired." I could feel his face turn bright red.
"Not what I meant..."
After a long hot shower and a change into a pair of sweats and a hoodie I had in my closet I made my way into Denki's dorm and he raised a brow.
"Isn't that my hoodie?"
"I don't know it was in my luggage. Either way its mine now."
"All good to me." I sat down next to him on the floor and leaned my head on his shoulder. "The teachers are hesitant about letting us go anywhere until we've been here for a while and the villain attacks calm down but when we are free I was wondering what you wanted to do for a date?"
"Skate park?"
"I was thinking somewhere more romantic."
"Theres nothing more romantic than watching you fall on your ass half a dozen times trying to slide on one of those rails."
"What about ice skating? You haven't been in a while."
"You know why."
"I know its just... you did so well at the sports festival sliding along Todoroki's ice."
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"Fair enough. Super Smash Brothers?"
"You're on."
