Chapter 31

No one got anything tazed off. We had a celebratory dinner which Todoroki enjoyed along with us and Bakugo didn't. After an awkward couple minutes with Bakugo and I just glaring at each other when Kirishima tried to get him to apologize things went pretty smoothly.

I must have passed out on the couch at some point because when I opened my eyes it was because someone had slammed the door closed. I shot straight up off the couch, falling on my back. Bakugo and Midoryia both had their shit rocked and weren't murdering each other at the moment so it was clear the world was ending.

"(L/n) what are you doing down here!?"

"I've been here this entire time Midoryia, no one bothered to take me to my dorm and I was to lazy to go upstairs when you guys woke me up by leaving! What happened to you two!?"

"I-"

"I needed to ask Deku about something. It doesn't matter." Bakugo cut in. "We sorted it out. Go to bed or I'm telling Dunce Face you slept down here all night." It wasn't an apology but it was closer to normal. I went upstairs and actually changed into pajamas and tucked myself into bed.

And once more I fell asleep the moment my head hit the pillow.

"You guys fought!?" Everyone was on the two boys asses and I just stood in the kitchen consuming my caffeine. While everyone else was chastising them I was curious on what was going on. For whatever reason my brain went back to the conversation I overheard between Midoryia and All Might came back into my head and I figured it would be worth it to check in with my teacher on this.

After class while everyone was still buzzing about work studies I went up to All Might.

"Hey can I talk to you for a second?"

"Of course Young (L/n)."

"I kind of fell asleep on the couch last night and when Bakugo and Midoryia came in I Bakugo said he had to talk to Midoryia about something. I don't know why but my brain went back to this time I accidentally overheard you and Midoryia talking about something called One For All."

The reaction was immediate. All Might's shoulders tensed, his breath hitched, and he looked extremely nervous.

"I don't know what your talking about."

"Your a terrible liar. Also did you tell Midoryia he couldn't be a hero without a quirk!?"

"Quiet."

"Explain."

"I can't."

"Fine then, I'll just go to Nezu. I'm sure he'd love to know that the Symbol Of Peace's track record with kids who he's not giving autographs to."

"Don't even think about it."

"(Y/n)?" I turned and saw Denki had poked his head back in. "Everyone else left are you ok?" I took a breath and put on a forced smile.

"Everything's fine, I just needed some clarification on the move he told us about earlier." With one last quick glare at All Might I followed Denki out and he looked at me, slightly concerned.

"Is everything ok? Your glaring."

"Yeah sorry, All Might just wasn't explaining stuff very well." Unlike our teacher when I wanted to be I was a great liar and both Denki and I had both had experienced a dose of All Might's inexperience as a first year teacher so this was pretty easy to believe anyways.

"Ah I see. Anyways I was thinking, we haven't really been on an official date yet." My mood lifted slightly,

"Oh yeah you're right. Are we even allowed off campus?"

"I talked to Mr Aizawa about it and he said he was cool with it as long as we're back before 8 and stay within 2 miles of campus."

"That's kind of a short range."

"I know, and that's why I did my research. There's a pizza place nearby as well as an arcade. I was thinking we could head on over and do that." I grinned,

"That sounds awesome! I gotta shower and change though..."

"Yeah of course. Meet me in the common room at 5:30?"

"Perfect."
