(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

When I woke up the first thing I felt was something constricting my nose and mouth. I reached for it, panicked that there was a villain trying to smother me but someone grabbed my wrists and I heard a familiar and comforting voice.

"Hey, leave that on. You've had a lot of gas inhalation." I nodded and tried to sit up, but this time I was pushed down. "Here." The bed was raised so I could look into my friends yellow eyes without moving an inch. "Better?"

"Yeah..." My voice was raspy and week from the shit I inhaled during the villain attack, plus disuse. "How long was I out? What happened?"

Denki said he didn't know every little detail but here's the gist of what he heard.

I was out for 4 days.
After the training camp UA was swarmed with media and a press conference was held by Vlad King, Mr Aizawa, and Principal Nezu.
During this conference a rescue mission was held and there was an all out brawl in Camino between All Might and this villain named All For One, during which Midoriya, Yayorozu, Iida, Kirishima, and Todoroki got Bakugo out of the crossfire and All Might won but in the process somehow lost his power.

"Damn..."

"I know. I'm honestly just glad no ones dead. And I-" Denki was about to say something else before he was cut off by mom throwing the door open.

"(D/n) she's awake! Oh thank god your ok!"

I was finally released from the hospital with orders to rest about a week later and as I was waiting for mom and dad finish signing the release forms Denki came through the door. He broke into a wide grin and pulled me into a hug that swept me off my feet.

"I'm glad to see you too but ow!"

"Sorry! Just exited your getting out." He looked at my parents then back at me. "Hey can we talk?"

"Yeah."

"Privately." I raised an eyebrow. Even when we were hanging out in a room or something we were loud enough that everyone in the house could hear us, privacy had never been an issue.

"Um, sure?"

"Great." We headed down a hallway and stopped near a vending machine.

"If you were thirsty you could have just said so." I teased and he suddenly smacked the base of his palms to his forehead.

"I- shit why is this so hard. (Y/n) we'll always be friends right?"

"Of course. Why, are you gonna tell me your going to be a stripper or something?"

"What if I told you I've been in love with you since junior high?"

I blinked in shock. I felt my cheeks and ears turn red. Suddenly it all made sense,

The teasing from our parents started around that time.

He seemed almost relieved when he learned I in fact wasn't going to get a boyfriend when I told him about that guy asking me out on a dare.

And there were just so many other small signals that, had I had more friends at the time I may have picked up on sooner.

But he was the only one and I thought that it was just how friends acted.

"I know I sprung this on you and I understand if you don't return the feelings but I had to get this out because..." He took a breath, "I realized after the camp, when you were out how when we become heroes this kind of shit is going to happen all the time. And one day you might not wake up. If that happened and I never told you, I don't know what I'd do."
I had to take a deep breath.

Ok, my turn.

"I don't know if I can top that but what I can say is this. I've liked you for a long time to now, probably longer than even I knew. I could never imagine life without you by my side and I recently realized that I wanted more than our future to just be friendship. I truly wanted you with me forever." Denki seemed shocked for a moment then once more broke out into his stupidly adorable wide grin.

"Well in that case, would you be my girlfriend instead of my girl-friend?" I giggled. Only you could ask someone out in such a dorky way.

"Yes, of course." I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and his made their way around my waist.

"Hey!" I jumped as I heard my dads voice and whipped my head around. "Keep your hands off my daughter lighting boy! I don't care if you've been friends for years there will be no hanky-panky in my house!"

"Dad- were you listening!?"

"If you wander off we're going to follow you sweetheart." Mom said, a grin twitching at her lips. "I'm happy for you but I agree with your father, no hanky-panky, your sibling doesn't need a niece or nephew the same age." I put my face in my hands while Denki just turned bright red.

"Hanky-panky? Really?"

At least their happy.
