"Mrs Kim, thank you for having me over for dinner." Jimin smiled at the older woman, helping her by carrying dirty plates to load up the dishwasher while Taehyung tried to have a civilized conversation with his younger brother and sister which proved to be quite challenging for him considering their age.
"No problem, you're like family after all. Come over whenever you like, Jimin." She smiled at her son's boyfriend. Although she looked quite irritated when she heard her son screaming her name.
"Mom! Taehyung says he's gay! What's that?" Her youngest son asked, not fully grasping the concept since he hasn't heard of it before.
"It means he likes boys like Jimin, Honey, now don't be so loud, it's rude." She explained the best she could at the moment but that didn't stop her daughter from butting in next.
"I like boys! Am I gay?" Her daughter now asked, making Taehyung snicker at the innocent question. Making the poor girl even more confused and slightly enraged that her genuine question is getting mocked by her older brother. "What are you laughing at?!"
"No, that makes you straight." The mother replied sweetly, making her daughter nod her head, muttering a small "oh" now that she finally understood most of the new information.
"Is Jimin our brother now?" The young boy asked his older brother Taehyung which he just shrugged since that was something he'd rather have Jimin answer in case the topic made him uncomfortable.
"If Jimin is fine with being your brother then yes. Although I don't know why he'd want to be your brother." He jokes, making his brother fire up and hit him on the arm.
"Jimin would love to be my brother! Jimin! Are you are brother now?" He asked, pointing to his sister while referring to 'our' as he looked up at Jimin with hopeful eyes. He really wanted Jimin to be his brother.
"I don't mind you two calling me your brother." Jimin replied, making the two younger children squeal in excitement.
"Jimin Hyung!"
"Jimin Oppa!"
The kids kept screaming the same words over and over again until it finally gave Taehyung's dad a headache which forced him to interfere with the conversation just to make them calm down. "Kids, go help your mom with the dishes instead of making the guest do it, that's bad manners."
They both nodded, getting off the chair and running over to their moms to help with the cleaning up while muttering a string of apologies which made Jimin laugh wholeheartedly. Taehyung's brother and sister were so sweet about the whole 'coming out' thing that it made Jimin's heart full.
"Jimin, are you going to stay the night?" Mrs Kim asked while handing the dirty plates to her youngest pair of kids, slapping both of their hands when she saw them both hitting one another in the rib quite viscously. She didn't want her kids to make a scene in front of a guest. She'd kill them both before she'd let that happen.
"I don't want to overstay my welcome so I'll leave soon." Jimin replied standing awkwardly next to where Taehyung was sitting, very unsure about whether he should sit down or start heading out.
"I don't want you to leave so soon... Why don't you stay for the night? He can stay, right, mom?" Taehyung frowned, looking up at his mother with hopeful eyes. Almost like he was begging for her to allow Jimin to stay over because he knows whatever his mother says goes.
"Of course he can stay, just make sure to take care of him." She insisted which Taehyung blindly nodded to.
"Of course! Come'on, Jimin, let's go back up to my room." Taehyung hummed, grabbing ahold of Jimin's arm and dragging him out of the room before he got any say about the situation. He was planning on going home and getting food with his brother but he was quite happy about being able to stay over for the night.
Once the two boys were out of eating shot, Taehyung's mother turned to her husband. "So... what do you think of Jimin?"
"He's a sweet boy... Still, I can't help but feel awkward about the situation. I always thought he'd bring a girl home. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's happy. It's just something new that I'd have to get used to." He sighed, taking a sip of his hard liquor to soothe the headache he got from work earlier that morning. "It makes a lot more sense as to why he never brought a girl back."
"Jimin is being such a good influence on Taehyung. He was so hostile before he started spending time with him. I was talking to one of the other moms in my book club and apparently, he's top of the class, he's looking at getting a scholarship in a marketing degree." She muttered, quite happy that her son is dating someone as intelligent with a bright future like Jimin. "It's a shame about his parents, they let go of such a bright boy, his brother as well. I can already imagine how similar they are."
"You really like Jimin." The husband laughed softly as she nodded proudly.
"I don't think he could date anyone better"

"That was a good dinner." Taehyung muttered, jumping onto his bed and patting an unused space next to him which he called for Jimin to sit on. "To top everything else off, you get to spend the night in my bed."
"Don't make it sound dirty, we're only going to be sleeping." Jimin pouted, hitting his lips out as his brows furrowed. Taehyung laughed at his boyfriend's funny expression.
"What? So no kissing or anything? You're killing me." Taehyung groaned, kicking his legs back and forth like a child throwing a tantrum which made Jimin laugh.
Jimin bent down next to Taehyung's and placed a soft peck on the younger's cheek, making him tense up. "Do you think I'd rob you of kisses?" He whispered sensually into his ears, trying not to laugh after how red he turned.
"H-hey! That's not funny! Don't act all flirty!" Taehyung mumbled, turning over to lie flat on his stomach and hiding his face into his pillow. "You know how cute you are... you're making me embarrassed."
Jimin laughed, lifting his hand up to the back of Taehyung's head and playing with his soft fluffy hair. "Tae... I'm going to the hospital again next Friday."
"Yeah? For another checkup?" He asked calmly. Although it was a lie, Jimin nodded his head, biting on the inside of his cheek.
"Yeah... I won't be able to see you that day but I'll text you so don't worry." Jimin replied to which Tae nodded his head.
"Just wear your ring so everyone knows you're taken. I'll be happy." Taehyung muttered, grabbing ahold of the older's hand, entwining their fingers as he slowly dragged their holding hands up to his lips. Placing a gentle kiss onto the knuckles, grazing his thumb softly over them when he parted.
"I will, don't worry... thank you for today. I had fun. I've been having so much fun with you since we made things official, I feel like I could die happy." Jimin whispered, curling up into a ball, resting his head in the crook of Taehyung's neck. His hot breath fanned against Tae's skin.
"Don't say that. I don't want to think of something like that happening. It's kind of weird to think, if anything happened to you last year, I'd be lying to say it would affect me but now if anything were to happen I think I might have a panic attack. You impacted my life so much." Taehyung spoke in a hushed manner, petting Jimin's hair down, calming the both of them.
"You really love me, huh?" Jimin muttered, he could feel his eyelids become heavy as he let out a small yawn, ready to fall asleep on Taehyung.
"I say it enough to you, please don't make me keep saying it. I'm not used to it and it's embarrassing." Taehyung laughed softly. His laughter died down when he heard no reply from Jimin. Although, from the hushed breathy snores slipping past Jimin's lips he knew that he fell asleep.
"Goodnight Jimin. I love you." Taehyung yawned, continuing to pet Jimin's hair until he followed, falling asleep as he held Jimin close against his chest.
Taehyung's mother listened to those five words that her son muttered from behind the door and smiled. Yep, she couldn't ask Taehyung to date anyone better than Jimin since to her there was no one that could suit him better than Jimin.
