Next day of school was a drag. Jimin and Hoseok were held back in class for like a minute or two because they were talking in class and was given a very boring lecture which they both terribly dreaded. At least after the lecture was over it was the beginning of break for them.
The two males roam the hallways and stumbled upon a notice board and decided to browse at it. Nothing out of the ordinary. Some lessons for languages like Chinese, Japanese and Portuguese. Lessons for the piano or guitar. Then Hoseok stumbled upon a certain flyer that caught his eye.
"Hey look, tryouts for cheerleading. It says they need a male member." Hoseok hummed and Jimin turned to him a bit fazed.
"But you already do football, you can't do cheerleading as well, even if you wanted to." Jimin muttered as he read the flyer closer. It said about tryouts taking place in the school hall after school on Thursday.
"Well, I was thinking that you would look cute as a cheerleader." He muttered subtly which totally took Jimin off guard.
"Me?" Jimin asked, unsure if he heard correctly, widening his eyes when he saw the boy nod.
"Yeah, like, you seem very light to hold, you also have a small frame, and you're also pretty to look at." He grinned at the younger while Jimin tried to puzzle the pieces together to figure out if he was telling the truth or was just joking around with him.
"You can't be serious, right? Like, I can barely run a mile without collapsing, what makes you think that I can do all of those spinny thingies in the air and rolling and all that stuff." Jimin spoke, confused at his own words, not even making sense to himself and wondered if his Hyung even understood what he said.
"Come'on, I'm sure you would be great at it if you tried! You did dancing before, right?" Hoseok asked, hoping he was right since it was a complete guess and really didn't want to sound stupid by it turning out that the younger never once did dancing in his life.
"I mean... I-I did ballet for a little while but-"
"See! You practically already have the qualifications! Just try it for me, Jiminie! Please~?" Hoseok begged, pouting like a sad little puppy, batting his brown doe eyes at the younger.
Again with Jimin's weakness.
"I guess I can t-try-"
"Yay!" Hoseok cheered, slinging an arm around his friend's shoulder, leading him outside so they can eat their lunch in peace on the grass, just the two of them.
"Just imagine you get in! You would look great in a cheerleading outfit with the pompoms and everything! And that means we would technically be able to spend more time with each other right? Omg~ you would be out on the field with me and you get to cheer me on as you watch me play! Doesn't that sound fun? It sounds like so much fun! I really wanna see what the cheer outfits are like! The football jerseys are blue and yellow with white so maybe the cheerleader's will be the same! I also wanna see the boy's outfit! I doubt they would force you to wear a skirt but if they do I can imagine that you would look so good in one. Maybe I can cheer for you at the tryouts as you did for me? Yes~! That sounds like a great idea! Imagine, I will be a cheerleader for a soon to be, maybe, cheerleader! That sounds like an amazing title!" Hoseok went on for a bit, blabbering on about the possibilities while Jimin blanked out.
Jimin was always scared of being the centre of attention which is one of the reasons why Jimin quite ballet since he would be put on the spot, it didn't help he was the only boy in the entire group as well so that was immediately off-putting. He was scared that he would probably be forced to do a routine that the whole team will judge. Plus, the whole team would be made up of girls, and if not full of girls than maybe one other boy that is probably really popular while Jimin is not at all popular. He stopped receiving and physical abuse from anyone in the past few days which is a real bonus for him. Jimin just hopes that whatever is stopping him from getting bullied continued since with the arrival of his new friend he has been happy in school for once which is as rare as a blue moon in this case but now the streak of loneliness ended thanks to Hobi.
