First thing that I notice when waking up is the shining rays through the curtained windows.

With my luck my face just happened to be in the way of the small gap that curtains always leave in front of the windows.

Second thing I notice is heat, extra heat. Specifically on my right side. Not the heat you rarely have in the bed from rolling around a lot, but the type of heat someone else would radiate.

And that brings me to the third thing that I notice. A silent breath on my hair, a strong and heavy thing, probably an arm, around my waist and two long legs that have trapped my own leg between them. A body attached to my side.

Just a few more minutes in this peace.

Keeping my eyes closed I relax more into the body. Knowing it is Ascian's. I stay there, for just a little longer and even fall asleep for a few more minutes.

When I woke up again our position had changed a little. I wasn't draped over Ascian's body anymore. More like him draped over me with the way he has turned me to my side and decided to have his arm's weight on my waist again.

My hair is sprawled behind me, definitely messy and maybe even with a hint of grease from moving around at night. What I just now register though is the exhale and small inhale behind my head.

He can't be serious. Did he just fucking sniff my hair?

I clear my throat in clear annoyance and I hear a small chuckle behind me. "Morning sleeping beauty."

"First of all, why are you sniffing my hair? And second, why are we in this position?" When I try to move away from under his arm, he tightens his grip and pulls me even closer to his chest and front.

I take a big gulp.

"It's the same position as last night. Just... closer," I can imagine his smug smile after that answer. I huff out a tired breath and just stay in my place until I notice something.

"Uhm Ascian?"

A mumbled response is heard as if he is almost falling asleep again and I nervously move around until his hand is splayed against my stomach, trying to keep me down firmly. "Please don't squirm around. That'll be a bad move which you will regret later."

"About that... Can you please either let me free or uhm... calm your junior down before I kick it. I didn't think I'd want to get to know it today." The bed seems to vibrate with the booming laughter that is heard from the man behind me.

I feel myself relax and give out a small smile while his hands loosen the grip on my waist and he moves a little away.

"There's the Reyna I know," I turn to him with an unimpressed look, and he just gives a big fake grin back to me.
