Hmm, I'm going to be interested in what y'all think about this chapter when you've read it.

Reyna will have some fun with Kace in the snow though :)

Enjoy!

"Get up, we have shit to do," an annoying voice awakens me from my empty sleep.

The curtains in front of my window get pulled to the sides, letting the light come in the room in a burning flash.

I groan at the pain my eyes feel from the bright light. Instinctively I try to bury myself deeper into my bed, but the ever-present bitch in the room has other plans. Kace pulls away my blanket and immediately the freezing air hits my skin.

"Go awayyy.." I groan out, teeth cackling together, the hair on my arms raises from the cold.

"No, we're getting up and doing something fun. I know grieving takes time, but we need to have some fun too. Get up you lazy ass," Kace says.

I stare at him unbelievably.

"I am literally just trying to sleep, not mope around. Can't I even do that?"

"No! Now come onnn!" His voice is stern, commanding.

I sigh and put my hands on my face, tiredness flowing through my whole body. I probably could fall asleep sitting on the bed, face in my hands.

Something cold gets thrown on me and I shiver.

"Put on your clothes and get down in five, I've got plans." Kace commands. And then leaves to go out of my room and down the hallway.

Even if winter is nearing its end, already the first week of February is reaching us, there are still quite cold days expected in the future. This day being one of them.

I put on some thin under-wool clothes before getting into my winter leathers. I tighten the straps that are needed and get down to where I see Kace waiting, his foot tapping on the floor.

When he sees me, he yells out a 'come on' and continues walking outside. He seems to be heading towards the stables, a small mischievous facial expression on his stupid face.

"I'm still mad at you for waking me up, you know."

"Oh stop being such a baby, you're whining just as much as a man with a man flu." I glare at him at the small insult.

At the stable I see our horses, the dappled grey and black beauty, waiting on us with their equipment on.

Without a word, Kace gets on his horse and I get on Saskia. He leaves with no explanation on his destination - I follow quickly behind.

What I didn't notice was the things he had packed with him, which are hanging on the side of the saddle.

"Are those... wooden skis? and a rope?"
