Here's the next chapter :)

Time moves quite fast, so if anyone is wondering we've already went 9 weeks forward from the winter ball incident. Because of the time limit I have for the story, it's jumping quite fast forward.

Enjoy!

"Good news," the cabin walls shake when the door gets slammed shut. A slight breeze from the dying winter breezes past in the warmth. I shiver lightly.

"You're allowed to go on Lacuna's grounds without having an arrow at your neck." Ascian continues. "I've talked to the Royals. They are not exiling you out for accusations without proof. The bad news though,"

He takes off his warm jacket, the winter leathers under it stretching with his body's movements.

"Asteria's grounds and road are filled with guards. So that is a dead end literally and figuratively."

I just nod at him, focusing on the table I'm sitting at. I put the spoon in my mouth to eat the porridge I made this morning. I can't help the grimace that comes on my face after my lips touch the wooden spoon.

"So, if you feel like taking a trip to Lacuna's grounds to buy something, you're welcome to do that without consequences." I nod once again, continuing eating the porridge.

The texture is wrong... The wooden spoon feeling disgusting in my mouth.

He sits down before me, a loud sigh escaping him when he after hours of working gets to sit down and relax.

He hasn't worked with any Zelos work today. He was in a meeting with his Royals about letting me visit Lacuna's grounds, or if that right was also taken away from me.

It took more time than expected, since the evening and darkness had swallowed up the outside world. The snow lightly reflects its whiteness and the flames from inside the cabin.

Thankfully this cabin is no one's property but Ascian's, so no one could legally take me away or arrest me for anything while being here.

"What have you done today?" He asks.

I look up at him, but quickly look down again, blowing on the warm spoon before bringing it into my mouth. Grimacing once again at the wooden taste and texture.

"Eating. Sleeping." I answer shortly.

He rolls his eyes at my answer, leaning his head back on the chair.

I continue eating my porridge.

"I know there isn't much to do here, especially not now that I haven't had time to get any activities within the two weeks you've been here. But you or we can take a trip tomorrow to Lacuna and see if there is anything interesting to buy so you have something to do when I'm gone?" His voice is a little tight, the skin over his throat stretched from his head leaning back.
