And I can't take one more moment of this silence.

The loneliness is haunting me.

And the weight of the world's getting harder to hold up.

It comes in waves, I close my eyes.

Hold my breath and let it bury me.

I'm not okay, and it's not alright.

Won't you drag the lake and bring me home again?

Y/N sat in her room. Her thoughts consumed her, they drowned her. Everything was still and quiet. All except her mind. It came in waves. The depression, the anxiety and it all came at the same time. She closes her eyes hiping it numbs the pain but she gets buried in the darkness even more.

"I'm okay," she lied to her mother when she tried to give her lunch. But Y/N wasn't.

"Y/N someone is here for you, can you let him in," a soft knock shook Y/N from her thoughts.

"coming," she answered. She opened the door to reveal him. Hiro Hamada. Why was he here? He hardly knew her, they talk in math and science class, but nothing that would or could potientally lead to more. "Why are you here?" she asked sharply.

"Those girls, I know what they do, and I know how it makes you feel. I know why you sit alone at lunch, I know you run off into the bathroom stalls to cry, I'm here to tell you I'll save you," he whispered.

"You can't save me from the words, from the taunts," she spoke with such broken words it touched Hiro.

"I can try," he moved a stray piece of hair from Y/N's forehead behind her ear. He looked her in the eyes. "I don't know you well, but I can and I will," he took Y/N's hand so carefully. He carresed her soft skin.

"Why do you care about me? Those girls adore you, the ones that taunt me, love you, wouldn't you side with them?" she bite her lip. She didn't want to cry in front of Hiro.

"No, because they are wrong in what they do, no one deserves to be pushed around like you, you are the most beautiful girl I have ever layed eyes on and if something, if you were to end your life, I would be forever guilty knowing I could've provented it," he leaned his forehead against Y/N's. Tears filled her eyes and one fell down her cheek. "Don't cry, gorgeous, everything will be okay now," he said softly. He pressed his lips against hers and her heart fluttered with something she hasn't felt in a while. Love, Joy, and happiness. She wasn't going to drown anymore. She had a savior. She had a life guard. and she couldn't be more greatful.
