"I'm sorry Hiro, but I want her to be with Michael," 

"What?" 

"I'm sorry, buddy, there are other fish in the sea," Mr. L/N closes the door and I blink widly.What just happend ? I asked him if I could marry his daughter whom I've been dating for over two years. TWO YEARS. I slump back to the apartment and stuff the box far back in my dresser. Y/N walks in as soon as I close it. 

"Hey," she smiles. I don't answer her. 

"I said hi, Hiro," she nudges me but I don't budge. 

"Hiro what's up with you ? Moody little butt," she tries to poke me and make me laugh but I don't crack. 

"What did I do?" she asks, frowning. I need to tell her. 

"Nothing," I sigh. 

"Then why are you being quiet? No offence but normally you're a chatter box," 

"Huh?" I zone out. 

"See dreamer boy, what's wrong please tell me," she sits on the bed next to me. 

"You're dad said something that I didn't like," I admit. 

"What did he say Hiro ? Is it about Michael, no way I go out with him, sure he has money and a great job but I love you Hiro," 

"He said I can't marry you," I whisper. 

"What? Hiro speak up," Y/N says. 

"He said I can't marry you," I repeat louder. 

"You want to marry me?" She giggles, great she thinks I'm an idiot. She would've said no anyway. 

"I did," I emphasis on the did. 

"Oh," she stares at her hands sadly. 

"So you don't want to marry me anymore," She mumbles. 

"No-I mean, I don't know," 

"Oh, well I guess maybe we should just break up then," she grumbles. 

"No-no, I didn't mean it, of course I want to marry you," I stand and reach to the back to get out the ring. 

"What's that?" 

"The ring," 

"What?" 

"I love you so much, Y/N, and I want to be with you for the rest of my life, don't you get it? I love you more than words can make out, "

"I love you too Hiro, and yes," 

"Yes what?" 

"Yes, I'll marry you, who cares what my father thinks? He doesn't know true love if it would hit him in the face," 

"I love you so much," I kiss her lips and slip the ring onto her small finger. 

"I love you too Hiro,"
