It was starting to come together. Our plan to infiltrate the Facility was being added to and organized, and we had managed to make a basic wanted outcome. Get all the teenagers and information about Prodigals and Xander's plans so we knew what he was trying to accomplish. However, one item on the agenda seemed to be an issue with everyone. What to do with Xander and Caesar. Kill them? Let them go free? We couldn't call the police on them, they were best buddies. Call MI6? Were they on the same side? How far and how deep did Xander's influence go when it came to the government?

Yvonne and Lilith were both staunch in their belief that killing Xander was not the way to go, but when asked about what we should do with him then, they had no answer. Nathaniel was sure of his opinion. He wanted to kill his father, that was his only end goal. He warned us that if we tried to stop him, or get in his way, he would have no problem putting us down. Damion, Kieran, and Tristan didn't really seem to care. Kieran was only coming along for Damion and Tristan, Damion was only coming along for Lilith, and Tristan was only coming along for me. I tried to explain to Tristan and Kieran that this wasn't going to be some James Bond-esque mission. No running around with guns and drinking cocktails while talking to attractive women. This was a life or death thing, and I knew deep down we were not all getting out of this alive. I expressed this to Yvonne as well.

I had climbed onto my roof after a long Saturday of training. Tristan and Kieran had been begging me to teach them to use a gun, so I took the one my mom hid in her dresser. She had told me about it when I came back from The Facility. "I know you don't like them, but after everything you've gone through, I need you to know that this is here if anything happens while I'm not home." I wanted to ask her why she didn't tell Tristan about it, but I knew the answer. We had gone deep in the woods, just Tristan, Kieran, and I, and I brought some bottles as targets. Kieran's aim was alright, not anything special. He missed a few bottles and shot a few. But Tristan was another story. His aim was impeccable, until he missed one and got frustrated. I tried offering him help from the side, but he kept missing, blaming it on me "stressing him out." "I can't work under so much pressure, man, just be quiet!" He eventually gave up. I wanted to end it with the guns there, but the two were so adamant to learn.

"I guess some things don't change." Yvonne said as she sat next to me.

"Hmm?"

"You sitting on the roof."

I let out a small laugh. "I guess you're right." We looked at each other and smiled. "You're not tired?"

She shook her head. "No, not really." She ran her fingers over the bandage on her right arm. She had cut herself by accident while practicing with her sword. I had cleaned and bandaged it up for her quickly, and she was amazed by how fast I did it. I didn't want to tell her the real reason why I knew how to do that, so I just lied and said that I had to do it a lot while helping out at the local vet.

"Does it feel better?" I gestured toward her arm and she held it out so I could get a closer look at it.

While I was holding her arm and checking it, she said, "It does. Thanks."

"What do you think of all this?" It was a vague question. She had an answer anyways.

"I think I want it to be over. I'm just worried that...I'm worried I'm not going to like how it ends."

We both stared at the sky. I had the same fear as her. It was not going to be a good ending for anyone.
