Alexis' POV

So Elijah and I had an amazing honeymoon. We toured the main attractions of Florida. Making love and every room of the suites of each hotel we stayed in. When we returned to Denver. We thanked the Andersons and took Adrianna to New York for Christmas and New years. We were having a lot of fun. Until I got a call from practically everyone in Mystic Falls about the death of Carol Lockwood. I promised Tyler I'd be back into time for her wake which is today. Elijah stayed away saying we was meeting an old friend.

"Thanks for picking us up Tyler, I'm so sorry we weren't here and about your mother" I tell him as he drives us to the school.

"I'm glad you weren't here, he might of come after you both" he states.

"He who?" I ask him.

"Klaus, he killed my mother" he states.

"Why?" I ask him surprised.

"Because I unsired all the hybrids, he wanted to get back at me" he states.

"I'm just glad you're alive. Adrianna needs her father" I tell him as I look at our sleeping daughter.

"Why were you away for so long anyway?" he asks me.

"When I was in Denver saw what it would be like to give Adrianna a normal life. As normal as one she can have with a vampire for a mother. That's what I want for her Tyler, to have an as normal life as possible" I tell him.

"I want that for her too" he tells me as he parks the car. "But please don't just disappear for a month with no contact again. I was really worried about you both, we all were" he tells me.

"I promise" I tell him. We get out of the car and he grabs Adrianna. We go to the gym and I greet Elena & the others. They fawn over Adrianna. Before we all sit down as the memorial service begins. Liz is speaking at a podium in front of the stand.

"Carol Lockwood always said that togetherness in times of tragedy leads to healing, that one community is stronger than a thousand of its members. But how does a community stay strong after losing its leader? And Carol was so much more than a leader; she was an open-minded friend and a concerned mother, taken from us too soon by a terrible accident" she says.

"Screw this" Tyler says getting to his feet.

"What? Tyler" Care says. Tyler leaves with Adrianna.

"I'll talk to him" I tell her. I go after Tyler. "Tyler!" I call as we get outside.

"I'm sorry Lexis, I just couldn't sit there as they told everyone my mother's death was an accident. When it was murder" he tells me.

"I get that, I felt the same way when Aunt Jenna and Uncle John died" I tell him. "But you're not alone Tyler. You have Caroline, Matt, Adrianna and me. Not to mention the rest of our friends" I remind him.

"Thanks Alexis" he says and hugs me.

"It'll be ok Tyler" I assure him. "How about you come with me?" I ask him.

"You're leaving again?" he asks me.

"Mystic Falls, doesn't feel like home anymore" I tell him. "It's not safe for our daughter here. We agree that she deserves a normal life" I state. "Lets leave Mystic Falls together, we could go anywhere you want" I say.

"I can't leave until Klaus is dead" he tells me.

"Killing him won't bring your mother back" I tell him.

"But it'll make me feel better" he states. "Someone needs a diaper change" he says handing Adrianna to me.

"I left her diaper bag in the car" I tell him. He leads me there. I decide to change her in the car. Tyler waits for me outside. "There you go, all clean" I say with a smile and blow a raspberry on her belly. She squeals happily making me smile.

I get out of the car and frown when I don't see Tyler anywhere. "Tyler!" I call.

"Sorry he's pre-occupied" Rebekak says. I look at her surprised. I thought she was daggered. "See you had your baby" she says looking at Adrianna.

"Yes, she is two months old now" I tell her.

"What a pretty girl, I think you both should leave town" she tells me.

"We just got back and I'm not leaving until you tell me where Tyler is" I tell him.

"He's playing a game of wolf and vampire with the other three" she states.

"But a hybrid bite will kill a vampire, Rebekah you have to stop him" I tell her.

"I don't have to do anything" she tells me. She looks into my eyes. "Take his car and go to your families lake house" she says compelling me. I do so strapping Adrianna into her car seat.

(Time skip)

I reach the lake house to see Jeremy with Matt and Damon. "Jeremy!" I cheer. I rush over and hug him tightly. "Wow, you know steroids are bad for you" I tell him.

"I'm just filling out Alexis, I'm glad you're back. Where' my niece?" he asks me.

"In the car, why don't you and Matt go say hello" I tell him. He does so with Matt on his tail. "Damon, what are you guys doing here?" I ask him curious.

"It's a long story, you've missed out on a lot while you've been gone" he tells me.

"Why don't you catch me up?" I suggest.

"I would love too, but we have a prior engagement. I'll explain once we return" he tells me. As the other two join us with Adrianna. "She's getting big" he says.

"She's adorable" Matt says.

"Guys we're late" Damon tells them.

"Right, we'll be back soon Lexis. You're invited in" Jeremy tells me. "We'll catch up properly when we get back" he assures me.

"We had better" I tell him as I take Adrianna. "You boys have fun" I tell them. I go inside with Adrianna and give her dinner. Burp her and then give her a bath. Before putting her down for bed while I wait up for the boys wondering what's taking them so long.
