Alexis' POV

I'm at the boarding house with Elena, Alaric, Stefan and Damon. "Thanks for coming, Ric" I say when he arrives.

"You and Elena mentioned you needed my help" he states.

"Yeah, we were hoping you could help shed a little light on the whole Lockwood family situation" Stefan tells him.

"Now, why would I know anything about the Lockwood's?" Alaric asks us confused.

"Well, you wouldn't. But your dead, not-dead vampire wife might" Damon states.

"Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together" Elena clarifies.

"You said that she had spent years researching this town" Stefan adds.

"Isobel's research here in Mystic Falls rooted in folklores and legends but at the time I thought much of which was fiction" Alaric tells us.

"Aside from vampires, what else?" Elena asks him.

"The lycanthrope" he answers.

"Wait, like werewolves?" I ask him curious.

"No way, impossible, way too Lon Chaney" Damon states.

"Is it?" Stefan and I ask him.

"I've been on this planet one hundred and sixty some odd years, never came across one. If werewolves exist, where the hell are they?" Damon asks us.

"Why do you suspect the Lockwoods?" Alaric asks Damon.

"Because vervain didn't affect the mayor at Founders' Day but the Gilbert device did and it affected his son Tyler" Damon explains.

"And at the school carnival his uncle Mason exhibited inhuman behavior when he fought with one of the carnival's workers" Stefan adds.

"It suggests it's some sort of a supernatural entity" I tell him.

"We were hoping that Isobel's research could help us figure it out what it is" Elena states.

"Well, all her things are still at Duke. I mean her office is still there. She's technically still missing" Alaric tells us.

"So can we get access to it?" Damon asks him. "Ric, we need to know what we are dealing with. If this wolf-man thing is true, I've seen enough movies to know it's not good. It means Mason Lockwood is a real-life Lon Chaney and that little Tyler punk may just very well be Lon Chaney junior, which means Bella Lugosi, meaning me, is totally screwed" Damon states.

So it was agreed Damon, Alaric and Elena would go to Duke to search Isobel's office. While I stay back to help Stefan train Caroline. I got her a Lapis Lazuli ring for Bonnie to spell. Stefan and I go to the Grill to meet her, to try convince her to do it. "I don't know how to make a day-walking ring" she tells us.

"Emily made Stefan and Damon's" I remind her.

"The instructions must be in the Grimoire" Stefan adds.

"Doesn't mean I can cast the spell" she states.

"Bonnie, you know how to drop vampires with a single look, okay? I think you can figure it out" I tell her.

"Caroline killed someone, Alexis. I can't make it easier for her to do it again" she tells me.

"No, we're not making it easier for her; we're just giving her the chance to survive. Listen, every day that she's cut off from her old life - from you, from Elena and Alexis, from Matt, it'll make it that much harder for her to hold on to her humanity" Stefan explains.
