TVD: S1E7 - Haunted

Alexis' POV

Dear diary, Vicki has completed her transition into a vampire. Stefan is training her at the moment. There's going to be a Halloween party tonight at school. I couldn't be bothered finding a costume. So I've decided to dress up as Elena. Anyway today Elena and I are going to go check on Vicki's progress. Vicki is staying with the Salvatore's at the moment as it's safer for everyone.

Elena knocks on my door and I close my diary. "You ready?" she asks me.

"Yes, let's go" I tell her. We leave and she drives us to the boarding house. She rings the bell and Damon answers.

"Is Stefan here?" Elena asks him.

"Yep" he says.

"Where is he?" I ask as we enter the house.

"And good morning to you, little miss " I'm on a mission"" he says.

"How can you be so arrogant and glib after everything that you've done?" I ask him annoyed.

"And how can you be so brave and stupid to call a vampire arrogant and glib?" he asks.

"If you wanted me dead, I'd be dead" I tell him hotly.

"Yes, you would" he says smirking.

"But I'm not" I state.

"Yet" he says winking.

"Where is Stefan?" Elena asks him.

"He's upstairs singing 'The rain in Spain'. Knock yourself out" he tells us before leaving. Elena and I go to the stairs. She calls Stefan's name and he soon appears. He walks down to us.

"Where's Vicki?" Elena asks him.

"Upstairs" he answers.

"What happens now?" I ask him curious.

"Because our brother is out there searching for her with the rest of the town. What do we tell him?" Elena asks him.

"I'm working with her, but it's gonna take time. She's a very volatile and impulsive personality. She's a drug user. I mean, all that's gonna play a part in how she responds to this" Stefan explains.

"So, she's a vampire with issues?" I ask rhetorically.  

"What are we supposed to do? Because we're lying to everyone that we care about. What's gonna happen to her?" Elena asks him.

"I'm gonna keep her here with me until I know that she's safe" Stefan tells us.

"How long is that?" Vicki asks as she appears at the top of the stairs.

"Morning Vicki, how are you?" I ask her.

"How am I? You're kidding, right?" she asks me.

"No need to be snarky" I tell her. "Stefan is there coffee?" I ask him and he nods his head. We all go into the kitchen where I brew some coffee. I made myself a cup and Stefan then made one for Vicki. Handing it to her as I sip mine.

"Coffee is our friend. It's the caffeine. It circulate through our veins, and it warms our body so we're not so cold to the touch" Stefan tells her.

"Well, what if I wanna drink human blood?" Vicki asks him.

"You're gonna have to learn to live with that urge and fight it on a daily basis one day at time" Stefan states.

"Oh god! Don't start with that whole 12 steps thing. School counselor has been down that road, and it doesn't work for me" Vicki tells him annoyed.
