TVD: S4E67 - Growing Pains

Alexis' POV

I wake up in my room with a massive headache. I frown in confusion. The last thing I remember was being in Matt's truck drowning. I hear a baby cry and turn to see Adrianna. I get up and go over to her. I pick her up and hold her close. "It's ok, momma is here" I assure her. I go to Elena's room to see her with Stefan and Damon.

"Oh my God. Lexis, Matt are they...?" Elena starts to asks.

"I'm fine Elena" I assure her.

"You should be resting" Damon tells me. He walks me over to the bed and sits me down on it. He goes to take Adrianna. But I glare at him.

"What happened? I remember being stuck in Matt's truck" I state.

"Ask Stefan, the hero" Damon sneers and I frown in confusion.

"I thought that we – how did you...?" Elena asks Stefan.

"Save you both? He didn't" Damon states.

"That's ridiculous Damon, we're right here" I tell him.

"When Jeremy brought you both to the hospital before all this happened. Both of your injuries were worse than anyone knew. Meredith Fell made a choice, she used Damon's blood to heal Elena and an-other's to heal you Lexis" Stefan explains.

"And when Rebekah ran Matt's truck off the road, you both had vampire blood in your systems" Damon states.

"Oh my God" Elena and I say together as I try not to panic. "Does - does that mean that we – are we dead?" she asks the boys. Neither say a word. "That wasn't supposed to happen!" she exclaims.

"Don't yell" I tell her as Adrianna whimpers.

"Maybe it doesn't have to. I talked to Bonnie, she says she's stronger than ever. There might be something that she can do to help you both" Stefan tells us.

"No, I'm not risking dying again and leaving my daughter an orphan" I snap. I get up and leave the room. I run into Elijah and tear up rushing over to him. "I'm so scared Elijah" I whimper.

"It'll be ok, I will help you  through this" he says while stroking my hair. "I lost you once, I won't lose you again" he states. I pull away and notice we are now in my apartment.

"I take it Alaric is dead now" I say and he nods his head. "Your sister nearly made my daughter an orphan" I sneer.

"I understand your anger, but there are more important things to worry about" he tells me.

"I know, I have twenty four hours to have human blood before I die" I grumble. "The others don't know whose blood turned me though. They know Damon's blood turned Elena, but not who turn me" I tell him.

"May I?" he asks holding his hand out to me. I place mine in it and he takes a deep breath. "Mine" he says and I look at him confused. "It's my blood, I gave some to Meredith the day I went to your ultrasound" he states.

"Honestly I'm glad it's you and not Damon" I mutter.

"Wait here and I will return with a blood bag for you" he tells me. I nod my head and he leaves. I go to my room deciding I need a shower. I place Adrianna on my bed and surround her with pillows.

"I'll be back shortly" I tell her with a smile. She coos tiredly and falls asleep. I smile and go to the bathroom. I shower and change into a pair of jeans with a t-shirt. My apartment phone rings and I frown. I look at Adrianna, before going to the kitchen to answer it.

"Lexis" Jer says.

"Hey Jer-bear" I say as I sit on the couch.

"Please tell me you haven't drunk blood yet" he pleads.
