TVD: S3E66 - The Departed

Third Persons POV

"They are gonna be fine. They got a little banged up today, Elena hit her head. But she just has a slight concussion. While Alexis just got her first period after Adrianna's birth, nothing to worry about" Meredith tells Jeremy lying.

"But they were both unconscious and there was blood" Jeremy states as he holds his niece.

"Honestly, Jeremy, they are both okay. They've just been through a lot. Is there anyone you want to call?" Meredith asks him. He nods his head and calls Damon. He tells him what happened and how he took his sisters to hospital.

"You did what?" Damon demands.

"I took them to the hospital. When you find both of your sisters unconscious, you call 911" Jeremy tells him.

"Not when you have a parade of vampires at your disposal!" Damon exclaims.

"Every remaining Original is gonna want Elena dead to stop Alaric. She's a sitting duck in there" Stefan says over the speaker.

"Well, Meredith wants to keep them here for observation" Jeremy tells them.

"Jeremy, get Elena and Lexis home, we're on our way" Damon tells him. He hangs up. Jeremy sighs and calls the others for help. They grab both girls and take them home without discharging them. Without knowing they both have vampire blood in their systems.

Alexis' POV

We enter the Gilbert house, Jeremy supporting me as Tyler carries Adrianna. Caroline walks in behind us with her arm wrapped around Elena, helping her into the house. Matt enters last and closes the door behind us. Elena and I are placed on the couch.

"We're fine" Elena assures them.

"I want something to eat" I add as my stomach rumbles.

"We're on it, as soon as we make sure no one is lurking in the closets" Tyler states as he hands me our daughter. I sigh in defeat as I rock her smiling gently. Tyler and Matt walk upstairs.Caroline covers Elena and I with a blanket each.

"Doctor says rest, you both rest" she tells us. "Now, what can I get you? Do you want some tea, maybe some vodka? Both will help you sleep" she states.

"Just tea please, can't drink while breast feeding" I tell her. I cover myself with a blanket as it is time for Adrianna's next feed. She latches on as soon as I hold close to my left breast.

"I know, I'm being smothering. It's what I do" Care says sheepishly.

"No, it's-it's nice" Elena assures her.

"I'm thinking-maybe tea with vodka for Elena" Care states. We all have a chuckle. She gets up to go boil the kettle. I start to think about sophomore year, things were simpler then. If someone had told me then, I'd be the mother of a werewolf's baby. I would of told them they were crazy.

"What you both thinking about?" Matt asks as he joins us in the lounge room.

"Sophomore year" Elena and I say at the same time. We look at each other and giggle. It'd been ages since we said something in unison.

"Where are the others?" I ask him.

"Tyler and Caroline got a call from their moms" he states. I nod my head and burp Adrianna. She falls asleep and I smile. "You're an amazing mother" he tells me.

"I agree, you deserve her Lexis" Elena tells me and I smile at them both.

"Sophomore year seems like forever ago" Matt tells us.
