TVD: S2E37 - Dinner Party

Alexis' POV

Tyler never got back to me about telling his mum last night. Which is strange. I'm packing to go to the lake house when John enters my room. "Don't you know how to knock?" I ask him.

"You going to the lake house?" he asks me.

"Yes, Elena invited me" I tell him. "Where's Jenna?" I ask him.

"Showing Elijah the old property lines" he states.

"Good for her" I say and zip up my bag. I sling it over my shoulder. I leave the room with him following me. "Oh before I leave, there's something you should know" I tell him. He raises an eyebrow. "I'm pregnant with a werewolf's child, don't tell Isobel" I state and leave as he stands there stunned.

I hop into the car and drive off before he can stop me. I pray he doesn't tell Isobel. The last thing I need is my vampire mother knowing I'm pregnant. Let alone by a werewolf. I arrive at the lake house and smile as I remember all the good times. Even the bad time where Jeremy broke his arm. I hope my child will love it here just as mush as I did growing up.

I get out of the car and go to the dock. To see Stefan on the phone. "Stefan" I say and he gives me a smile. I sit down taking my shoes and socks off, then dip my legs into the lake.

"How do you know?" he asks the person looking at me. I look up at him confused. He whispers something. "Well, it's not going to be easy. He's crafty" he tells the person. Must be Damon, they must be planning something. I put my earphones in and listen to the Cats soundtrack. Remembering when mum took Aunt Jenna and I to see it. I fell in love with the musical and pretended to be a cat for a month. Hey I was eight.

Stefan lowers his phone and looks at Elena through the window. Then looks down at me. I remove my earphones pausing the music. "Yes?" I ask him.

"Did you know Tyler ran away from home last night?" he asks me. I look at him shocked. "Carol called Liz this morning, Liz told Damon" he states. Suddenly my phone rings and I see the Lockwood house phone number. "I'll leave you to it" he says and goes inside to see Elena.

I answer the phone still confused, why did Tyler leave town and not tell me? "Carol, morning" I say.

"Alexis, have you seen or heard from Tyler?" she asks me worried.

"No, why would I have?" I ask her.

"He left me a letter, explaining about your baby" she states.

"Of course he did, we were going to tell you together last night. But he never messaged me back" I tell her.

"Can we meet and discuss this in person?" she asks me.

"I just arrived at my family's lake house" I tell her. "But I can be at your place in an hour" I add.

"Thank you dear, I'll have tea ready" she tells me. I thank her and hang up. I sigh, guess a swim will have to wait. I go inside to find Stefan and Elena in the living room.

"I know I just got here, but Tyler has left me alone to deal with his mother. He leaves her a letter telling her I'm pregnant with his child. So I have to go talk to her" I explain.

"I'm sorry he left" Elena says.

"Not your fault" I tell her. "So I'm gonna go, but I promise to be back tonight for dinner. Then you and I can swim in the lake tomorrow" I state.

"Sounds good" she says smiling. I hug her and say goodbye to Stefan. I leave my bags, but take my phone and purse. Then drive to the Lockwoods. I arrive and Carol lets me in.

"Thank you for coming Alexis" she says.

"You're welcome, I'm sorry Tyler left. I have no idea why he left or where he's gone" I tell her.
