Alexis' POV

I got a text from Elena to meet her at the Salvatore house. So I wake there and arrive to see some rushing out of the house. The man crouches outside. He gets up and rushes at her to enter but freezes at the threshold, unable to enter. "Elijah" I say and he looks at me as Elena gives him the dagger. She comes out and we get into her car. "Elena, why is Elijah awake? How did you wake him without the guys knowing?" I ask her.

"He's the only option left if we don't want Bonnie to die" she states.

"You look better" I tell Elijah when he finishes a blood bag.

"Where did you get the dagger?" he asks us.

"We'll tell you everything. But we have to work together, Elijah. We need your word" Elena tells him.

"Your ability to make demands has long passed" he tells her.

"No demands. We're offering you our help. And in return, we want yours" I correct him.

"And why should I even consider this?" he asks us.

"The same reason that you haven't killed us. You need our help to kill Klaus. And we need you" I tell him. Suddenly Elena's phone begins to ring.

"Can you answer that please Lexis?" she asks. I nod my head taking her phone.

"It's Stefan" I tell her and answer it. "Hello Stefan" I say as I lean back into my seat.

"Alexis, is Elena with you? Where are you both? Are you both okay?" he asks me.

"We're fine, we are with Elijah" I tell him.

"Where? I'm on my way" he tells me.

"No, Stefan, Elijah, Elena and I need some time alone" I tell him.

"Listen to me. He can't be trusted he'll use Elena to get to Klaus" he tells me.

"Elijah is a noble man, Stefan. He lives by a code of honor. We can trust him. He knows that Elena would be incredibly stupid to betray him again. By removing the dagger, she have proven herself" I explain. "Also I was never in on the plan to dagger him" I add.

"You both can't do this alone" Stefan tells me.

"It's our decision, Stefan. Please respect it. And make sure that Damon doesn't do anything stupid. We'll be in touch" I tell him and hang up. Elijah holds his hand out and I hand him Elena's phone. Then mine from my jacket pocket. Elena drives us to the Lockwood Mansion. We go to the front door and Elijah knocks.

Carol opens it with a smile. "Alexis, Elijah, Elena! What are you doing here? How'd the ultrasound go? What happened?" she asks seeing Elijah's burnt clothes.

"I've had a bit of an incident, Carol. I'm hoping you could help" he tells her.

"Well, I'm on my way to a meeting, so I..." she tries to say.

"It won't take but a minute of your time" he says compelling her.

"Of course, anything you need" she says smiling. She lets us in and suggest Elijah try Richard clothes. As she hadn't boxed them up yet. He goes upstairs to change.

"Anyway, I have something for you both" I tell the girls. I hand them each an ultrasound photo.

"Oh the baby is adorable" Carol says smiling.

"I can't wait until we find out if it's a boy or girl" Elena states.

"I'm praying for a girl" I tell her.

"Well make yourselves at home, I have to go" she says and leaves. Elijah returns in black dress pants, white button down shirt, dress shoes and black suit jacket. I make us all some tea and we sit in the living room.
