TVD: S2E32 - The Sacrifice

Alexis' POV

It's been two days since Elena and I saw Katherine. My doctors appointment is tomorrow and I'm a little worried. Since the talk with Katherine I've realized my period is really late, I'm still vomiting and tire easily. All symptoms of pregnancy and I've decided to test it. But what if I am pregnant? Then Tyler and I are going to be parents. My baby would have the werewolf gene, Tyler will be angry at himself for giving his wolf gene to an innocent baby.

But I don't know yet, I'll tell him after my doctor's appointment. If I am pregnant. Anyway Alaric spent the night last night, Elena caught him in his briefs. I found it amusing. Anyway I'm getting ready to leave when there's a knock at the door. Elena answers it to reveal Stefan and Damon. They wanted to talk, I guess the pregnancy test would have to wait.

They tell us what Katherine had told them. "You don't believe her, do you?" we ask them.

"No, of course not. We just want the moonstone" Damon assures us.

"Why?" I ask them confused.

"According to Rose's friend Slater, there's a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break" Stefan states.

"No spell, no doppelgänger sacrifice. Ergo, you both live" Damon adds.

"How do you destroy it?" Elena asks them.

"By releasing it from the moonstone"  Stefan answers.

"How do you even know this will work?" I ask them.

"Cause we have a crafty witch on our side" Damon reminds us smirking.

"You discussed it with Bonnie?" we ask them.

"She agreed to do anything she could to help us" Stefan states.

"It's Katherine who has the moonstone" I remind them.

"She's not gonna give it to you" Elena adds.

"We're gonna get it from her" Stefan tells us.

"Well, what he means to say is, we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have to" Damon adds.

"Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, get the moonstone, and get out in time for her to return it" Stefan explains.

"Wow. I mean, it sounds like you guys already have it all planned out" I tell them.

"Yep, we're awesome" Damon says smiling.

"Except for one thing. We don't want you to do it" Elena tells them.

"What about Klaus?" I ask before they can protest.

"We'll find him right after we get the moonstone" Stefan assures us.

"Is that before or after he kills everyone that I care about, including the two of you?" Elena asks them. I frown thinking about my potential child, he or she is in danger. But if I am the sacrifice they'd die with me. That's not fair to the potential baby.

"Elena, if we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save your lives" Stefan tells her.

"I know, everybody keeps saying that" Elena states. She leaves the room and I stand up.

"I have something more important to do" I grumble. I grab my purse and car keys before leaving the house. I go to the pharmacy and buy the first pregnancy test I could find. I go to the counter and pay for it. Before leaving the store, only to bump into someone. "I'm so sorry" I say.

"No, it's my fault" the guy says. "I'm Luka" he states.

"Luka Martin?" I ask and he nods his head. "My brother told me about you, along with Bonnie. I'm Alexis" I tell him smiling.

"Nice to meet you" he says shaking my hand. "Are you sick?" he asks me looking at the pharmacy.

"Just an upset stomach, I have a doctors appointment tomorrow" I tell him. "Anyway, I have homework to do" I state.

"Same, I'll see you around at school" he states. I nod my head and we go our separate ways. I drive home and see no one else home. If I wanted to do my test in private, now would be the best time. So I go to the bathroom and read the instructions, before peeing on the stick. I set the timer and look out the window trying to prepare myself for what the result could be.

I hear the timer go off and look at the upside down test. Not feeling ready to know the answer. I look at the mirror and freeze when I see Elijah in the reflection. I turn around, but no one is there. I sigh taking deep calming breathes. I head over to the test and turn it over to see two pink lines. It confirms that I'm pregnant.

I sit down on the floor against the wall pulling my legs to myself scared. What am I going to do? I can't risk my baby's life, but I can't lose my sister. Tears fill my eyes as if I protect one, I'll lose the other. I start to sob into my knees. When I hear my phone go off. I sniff wiping my eyes and answer it.

"Hello" I say weakly.

"Alexis, it's Rose. Elena is on a suicide mission, I need help" she states.

"Give me the address and I text Damon" I tell her.

"Thank you, are you ok?" she asks me.

"Yeah, I'll be fine" I assure her and hang up. She sends me the address and send it to Damon. Who sent one back saying he'd take car of it. I pray he rescues my sister. I hear Jeremy return home and go downstairs. I find them in the kitchen, Jeremy has a bandage on his neck. "What happened?" I demand.

"He tried to take on Katherine alone" Bonnie states.

"What were you thinking Jeremy?" I demand.

"I didn't want Bonnie to hurt herself, which she does when she over does it" he states.

"Ok, no more of either of you risking your lives. Elena and I aren't worth that, where were Stefan and Damon?" I ask them.

"Damon took off and Stefan is now looked in the tomb with Katherine. After saving Jeremy" Bonnie explains.

"Great, how do you think Elena is going to feel knowing her boyfriend I strapped with his slut of an ex?" I demand.

"I'm sorry Lexis, I just wanted to protect you and Elena" Jeremy tells me gently.

"I understand that Jer, but we're the older siblings. Please think before acting next time, I can't lose any of you" I tell him. He nods his head and hugs me. We hear Elena arrive home.

"I'll go tell her" Jeremy tells me and goes to open the door. Bonnie hugs me and looks at me shocked. I sh her and she nods her head. She leaves after Elena and Damon did. I go to bed as I have an early doctors appointment. I place a hand on my still flat stomach and smile.

"I'll protect you my little wolf" I whisper closing my eyes. I'd tell Aunt Jenna, Elena, Jeremy, Alaric and Tyler tomorrow. Then the others afterwards.
