As I sat up, dazed, and I heard my mom making something in the kitchen. I got up

to see what she was making because it smelled really good. “Mom, watcha makin’?” I

asked. Mom just continued cooking.

“Mom? Can’t you hear me?” I asked as I waved my hand

in front of her face. She acted like I was not there. This is strange, I thought to myself.

“MOMMY!!” I heard from upstairs. It was my little sister, Teddy. Of course she

didn’t have blue hair like me wrapped up in huge pigtails. She had my dads sandy blonde

hair pinned up in a little side ponytail.

“Yes dear?” my mom called back.

“I CAN’T FIND MR.RIBBONS ANYWHERE!!” Mr. Ribbons was Teddy’s stuffed elephant, she

loved that thing more than life itself. “I’m sure he’s in your room somewhere,” said

Mom as she was washing her hands after cooking spaghetti.

In a blink of an eye everything stopped. My mom was frozen in her tracks. I

looked at the clock to see if it has stopped moving as well. Sure enough, it had.

“Saber.”

I looked around the kitchen as saw nobody. What the heck is going on? I thought to

myself.

“Saber,” the mysterious voice said again but louder. This time it sounded like it

had come from the living room.

“Hello?” I called.

“Saber,” said the voice again.

“What’s going on?” I demanded to thin air.

“Saber, Saber you are the one.”

“The one? What are you talking about?” I asked to the voice.

“Saber, you’re the only one that can save us. You’re a Power Gem,” came the reply of the voice. “Power Gem? What the heck is that?” I inquired.

“Only time will tell, I’ll be back Saber, to tell you more.” And just like

that time continued. “Saber, what’s wrong sweetie?” my mom said noticing me, finally.

“I’m going to my room,” I said thinking fast and I bolted up the stairs up to my room.
