"Saber...Saber stay with me!" I heard faintly, what happened? I began to open my eyes and sat up, everything was blurry and I couldn't make out anything.
"Oh my god! You're OK!" I felt someone hug me, really tight that I could barley breathe. My eyes adjusted to see Zoie's arms wrapped around me. She pulled back and tears flooded her eyes, her light brown eyes had dark circle around them.
"Where is everyone else?"
"They're here... they're safe."
I felt like I was being lied to, I looked around everything had a white tint to it, but it looked like we were in a meadow. I saw no one but Zoie and me.
"Zoie, where is everyone?" I said a little more firm.
Zoie took in a big gulp and sighed. "They were taken. The angels grew angry that mortals made it to heaven, now they are most likely imprisoned, I wasn't there when they took everyone, I was off to get food. You have been knocked out for about two days now and they took everyone last night. I wish I could of been there..." Tears rolled down her cheeks like they were rivers.
I was about to say something but something rattled in the bushes next to us. Zoie instantly took a fighting stance, I have never seen Zoie fight now that I think of it. I've always wanted to see her powers. The bushes rattled more and more. Something jumped out and landed right next to me.
"Arf,"
I looked down to see Scribbles, my eyes grew large. How did he find us and how did he get here?
"Scribbles!" I shrieked in excitement and scooped up the fox and squeezed him. He gave me a little whine that told me that he missed me too. I felt tears in my eyes but I held them back. We had to save the others, we couldn't stay here for long, they could find us.
"Do you have any idea where the others would be?" I asked
"I don't have a clue, I guess we'll just have to look all around until we find something."
I sighed. My wings were sore from flying for so long, but I had to suck it up, I had to save the others. I unfolded my golden wings, Zoie did the same. I picked up Scribbles and kicked off the ground and began flapping my wings. We found nothing but grass and flowers, I must say Heaven wasn't what I expected but it is very beautiful.
It seemed like forever flying, my stomach growled in hunger. I haven't eaten in what, 2 days? I was starving.
"Can we stop to find food?" I asked feeling stupid, my stomach growled louder and louder.
"Sure thing." Zoie said with a big grin on her face. "I haven't eaten in a while either."
I walked along the ground to find something, anything to eat but came out clean. My stomach growled, Shut up! I thought of course that didn't do anything.
"Did you find anything?" Zoie asked walking up to me. I shook my head, I felt like I was going to cry if I didn't get something in my belly.
"Arf!" Scribbles was pawing at my legs and barking.
"What is it Scribbles?" I asked, he instantly stopped pawing at my leg and turned his head to the right of us. He looked back at me with his tail wagging rapidly and his tongue licking his mouth. Zoie and I looked and each other and shrugged. All of us headed in the direction that Scribbles pointed out. I moved some branches out of the way from bushes that were blocking our way and saw it, It was a large white city that was above ground. The whole thing was floating on clouds, everything perfectly balanced. It was beautiful.
I began to walk toward the enchanting city, when Zoie pulled my arm back and said, "Saber, we don't know what lies ahead, lets be cautious." I nodded and we all began walking toward the city. The city grew larger and larger as we got closer. It was huge for a city. We finally got to the very front of the city, but it was floating on clouds. The clouds were near the height of my head. I reached up to touch the clouds when someone yelled at me.
"Stop what do you think you're doing!? Are trying to kill us all?!"
I looked up and saw a middle aged man in a white robe and a golden helmet on his head. He had wings as white was Luna's, his hair was blond and curly like Luna's as well.
"Uh-Uh, I-I'm..." I stuttered at first but then found my strength." Here to get my friends! Where are they?!"
"A-Are you the Power Gems I have been hearing about?" Asked the angel.
"Yes, we are now where are my friends?" I asked more firm.
"Oh, my apologies! You may come in." He said, he did some hand movement and white marble stairs appeared right in front of my feet. I began walking up the stairs up to the beautiful city. I made it to the top with Scribbles right beside me and Zoie behind me. The angel walked up to me and said, "I can take you to your friends, they are waiting for you. They are with The Great Ones." My eyes grew a little, are we really going to meet the almighty Great Ones? I thought we were just their tools to save the world. I found The Great Ones quite lazy, if they wanted to save the world they why can't do it themselves? I didn't care at the moment, I was finally going to see everyone.
