“She’s gone.” Said Luna as she walked into the room. “She can’t be gone!” Jason yelled. He was leaning over the couch where Saber’s body was. He brushed Saber’s long light blue hair out of her motionless face. Jason stared into her closed eyes as his eyes start to water. A single tear streamed down his face and dropped onto Saber’s cheek. Saber didn’t move. His eyes water more and more and more tears dropped onto Saber unmoving face. She laid there breathless, it was useless, she was gone.
Scribbles walked into the room and saw everyone gathered around the couch. He trotted over and saw Saber’s unmoving body. It was his job as a Power Animal to heal their owners, but they can’t heal the dead. Scribbles bowed his head in disbelief, he had failed.
Zoie picked up Scribbles and held him tight. She buried her face in his fur and began to cry. Scribbles normally would of tried to get away, but he stayed in Zoie’s arms and looked at Saber’s dead body.
They all stood there for seemed like hours until Jason finally got up and walked away. “Jason-“ Zoie began but then stopped because she knew it was hopeless. “Luna you have to do something, we can’t save the world without Saber.” Zoie said her voice muffled by her crying. “I don’t think we can.” Luna said expressionless, she didn’t even give off a sign of sadness. “Then how are we going to save the world, defeat Blackout? We can’t do it without Saber! We need her!” Zoie said her voice getting higher and more and more tears streamed down her face. Luna just stood there as if she didn’t care.
Zoie then ran off into her room with Scribbles still in her arms. She opened the door to her bright yellow room with pictures of cupcakes all over. She ran to her bed, which had Sparky on it. She flew herself on her bed; her face covered in pillows and began to cry even harder.
Back in the living room, Jason was at the edge of the room where the hallways divide when he started walking and head for his room. He opened the door to his dark blue room and started kicking things around his room making a lot of noise. “This is all my fault! She would of lived if I had been there sooner!” Jason yelled t himself and slapping himself in the face. “This is your fault!” Jason said punching himself and kicking thing on the floor and punching the wall.
When he was out of breath he laid down on his bed and stuffed his face in his pillows. “I could have saved her!” he screamed in his pillow and tears began to fall off into his face and onto his pillow. What am I going to do without her? She was my life and now she’s gone. I…I loved her. Jason thought and then began to cry harder. He never got a chance to tell her that he loved her.
Jason got up and walked out the door to see Saber one last time. He walked past the fountain and looked at the clock, 2:28 o’clock in the morning. He walked over to the couch with Saber’s dead body on it. He crouched down next to Saber’s unmoving body. He put his hand on her soft cheek and his eyes began to water.
He leaned over Saber and kissed her forehead. As he pulled away a single tear landed on her forehead. The tear slowly slid down her forehead and stopped on her cheek. Jason couldn’t take it anymore; he buried his head in Saber’s stomach and began to cry more.
The tear on Saber’s cheek glowed a bright blue and formed in her skin. Saber’s hair glowed bright blue. The light soon faded, her heart started to beat very slowly. Saber slowly opened her eyes and saw Jason cry on her stomach.
Saber could barley lift her arm but so how she managed to touch Jason enough for him to notice. Jason slowly lifted his head and looked at Saber. Her eyes were and she was smiling weakly. Jason’s eyes widened, “Your alive!” Jason said with a lot of joy in his voice as he wrapped his arms around Saber’s neck. She grunted in pain but she slowly out her arms around his waist. “I can’t go that easy.” Saber said very softly into Jason’s ear because she couldn’t talk very loud.
Jason pulled back, he looked into Saber’s face, “Saber, I-I love you.” Jason said and he quickly turned away to hide his red face. Saber’s eyes widened as she took in the sentence. “I love you too.” Saber said her voice still very soft that Jason could barley hear her.
Jason looked back at Saber, her face more beautiful he had ever seen her, even though she was very injured. She eyes shined inn the dark room, her hair was soft as silk as he gently brushed it out of her face. Jason leaned in and kissed her. His string jaw locked with her smooth mouth made it irresistible to pull away. Saber kissed him back with all her strength, which wasn’t much, but Jason didn’t care.
Next thing they knew the sun was rising. Jason pulled away, “Let’s get you to your room.” Jason said and put Saber’s arm around his shoulder. They slowly started to get up from the couch, they took one step and Saber fell on top of Jason. The blood from her stomach got onto Jason’s shirt. “Sorry,” Saber said weakly. She tried to get up on her own but fell right as she took another step.
Jason chuckled and got up. He walked over to Saber and swooped her off the ground. To his surprise she was very light, she wrapped her arms around his neck as he walked her over to her room. He opened the door to her black room with neon stars on the walls. He walked over to her bed and laid her down gently.
As he stepped back Saber mouthed, “Thank you.” And began to close her eyes. Jason smiled and walked out of Saber’s room and closed the door lightly.
