Power Gems

Chapter 8

I past a few trees to see a gigantic waterfall. “Wow…” I said to myself. Luna

walked up behind me. “This is where you’ll train your ice powers.” Said Luna scaring

me as I jumped a little. I looked at Luna to see past her were mountains and the sun was

going down. “Where are we going to sleep?” I asked. Luna pointed up at the trees.

“Time to practice flying to the tree house.” I sighed.

I spread out my wings; I looked at Luna and Jason as he came from behind her.

Luna spread out her wings too. I’m so going to fail. Did I mention I’m terrified of

heights? “ Jump.” Luna said calmly. I jumped and I flapped my wings. Next thing I

knew, I was about 25 feet in the air.

“HOLY FREAKING CRAP I’M GOING TO DIE!!!!” I screamed not noticing

I sounded really stupid. Jason laughed at me, and Luna just looked at me with her

expressionless face. Still in the air I tried to look for some tree houses. After a while I

found a large box looking thing. “I think I found the tree house Luna!” I yelled at Luna

who was still on the ground with Jason. “Good, now lets get inside.” Luna called back

from the ground. For your information, flying isn’t that easy as Luna said. I tried to go

forward to the tree house. Instead I ran into a branch. I whacked my nose really hard on

the branch.

I heard Jason laughing from below. “You think you’re so funny huh? Then you

try!” I screamed at him. “Alright.” He called back. He stretched out his cream colored

wings and started flapping them. It looked so easy when he flies. He was right next

to me and grinned. I felt my cheeks burn again. I gave him the evil eye again; he just

smiled and flew on to the tree house.

After awhile I started to get used to flying and finally made it to the tree house in

about 5 minutes. Inside Luna and Jason were waiting. At first it was bright inside, when

my eyes adjusted I saw what looked like a rich person’s mansion. There was a fountain

in the middle of the room. There were 3 couches facing a giant flat screen T.V. that was

about 95inches. “Wow…” I said under my breath walking up to the T.V. “This Power

Gem stuff, I can deal with.” I said looking back at Jason and Luna.

“Let me show you to your rooms.” Said Luna motioning Jason and me toward the

hallways. Past the fountain was a split in the room, which were the hallways. Luna went

to the right hallway, we past a few rooms until we came to a room, which had Jason’s

name on the door. “Go inside and get same rest.” Said Luna and Luna and I left Jason

to get some rest. “Now to your room, Saber.” Said Luna has we past the fountain to the

other hallway. Again, we past a few rooms until we came to a room with my name on it.

I went into my room and it was exactly like my room back home. Black, with

neon stars on the walls. I walked to my black bed to see Scribbles on my bed. I smiled

and took off my shoes and got into bed. Pulled the sheets over my shoulders and fell

asleep.
