“Now time for training.” Said Luna. “Training?” Jason and I said at the

same time. “Aren’t we going to find the other Power Gems?” I asked. “We can’t.” Said

Luna. “Why not?” Jason asked. “Shadow Lurkers.” Said Luna sounding scared out of

her senses. “What are Shadow Lurkers?” I asked.

“They are horrible creatures.” Explained Luna. “They were kids just like you.

But they were lost in the darkness of their souls. Never look a Shadow Lurker in the

eyes. If you do, you will be lost to the darkness of your soul as well. They are very

strong as well, they can easily punch through a wall without trying.”

Okay, this whole Shadow Lurker thing was kind of scaring me.

Scribbles was even shivering at my legs. I bent down and picked up the fox, looking into

his eyes saying that it’ll be all right. Scribbles stopped shivering and lay in my arms.

“Shadow Lurkers look sometimes normal, but don’t be fooled, if you get close

enough they’ll kill you. Without hesitation. Strange thing is, Shadow Lurkers are girls,

and with really long dark hair that covers their eyes. Shadow Lurkers also were white

dresses like in hospitals.”

Jason and I looked at each other. “How many Shadow Lurkers are there?” Jason

asked. “Only about 60. Most people have pure hearts. There aren’t that many Shadow

Lurkers.” I sighed in relief. I looked down at Scribbles who was almost asleep in my

arms. I couldn’t help but to smile.

“Let me guess, you’re a big softy for animals, aren’t you?” said Jason. At first he

shocked me, I was focused on Scribbles at the time. I gave him the evil eye as I felt my

cheeks burn. “Let me guess, you’re an idiot, aren’t you.” I said feeling like myself again.

I turned and walked away from Jason as my cheeks burned more. I heard Jason laugh a

little as I walked away. The nerve of that guy.
