Chapter 14

I woke up to Scribbles pawing me on the face.  I got up and got dressed.  I walked into the living room, I past the huge fountain.  I saw Zoie on the couch still; her foot was wrapped in white bandages.  She was snoring very loudly.  I shrugged and went to Jason’s room to wake him up.

I knocked on the door.  “Jason, get up!” I yelled at his door.  I heard him get out of bed, “10 more minutes…” he said back, his voice was really soft and I could barley hear him.  “Jason get up now! Or I’ll come in there and drag you out!” I yelled at him.  “Ugh, fine.” I heard Jason get out of bed. 

“So are you two dating or something?”  I jumped; I turned around to see Zoie right in my face.  “No!” I yelled at her, I felt my cheeks burn again.  “Uh-huh, it looks to me that you like him.” Zoie said, having that tone in her voice that made me want to punch her. “Whatever.” I said in an angry voice, I walked away from her and headed down to the ledge and went straight towards the waterfall. 

When I reached the waterfall, Scribbles came from the bushes.  I bent down to pet him on the head.  His soft white fur was so fun to pet, his icy blue ices closed in delight.  I giggled and got up again. 

I stared at the waterfall, a gush of wind past me. My hair almost flying, the entire waterfall froze.  I smiled, I looked down at Scribbles, and he sat there looking at the frozen water.  We heard something rattle in the bushes behind us.

We hurried and turned to see Jason coming up to us.  “Oh, it’s you Jason, you scared us.” I said to him signing in relief.  He just kept walking up to us with no expression on his face.  “What are you doing?” I asked, but he kept walking. 

He got very close to my face, “What-“ but I was cut off.  Jason kissed me-hard.  I stood there wide-eyed.  I slowly closed my eyes.  I kissed him back; I didn’t know what I was doing.  This never happened before. 

We stayed there in the kiss for what minutes.  I pulled back, I stared at Jason. My senses came back to me.  “What are you doing!?” I yelled at him.  “I heard you and Zoie outside my room…” He said his voice very soft.   “What does that have to do with anything?” I said, my voice rising. I was starting to get irritated.  “Saber, I can see right through you, you can’t hide it.” He said, he started smiling at me.  “THE FREAK IS WRING WITH YOU!” I yelled at him, my cheeks were burning more then ever. I backed up from him.

“Saber, I just wanted you to know that I feel the same way…” Jason said his voice was soft and low.  “I don’t know what you’re talking about!” I yelled backing up more. Jason started walking up to me; I kept backing away from him.  “Stop!” I ordered him; he ignored me and kept walking. 

I stopped backing up, what are you doing Saber! I thought to myself.  I turned and started running into the woods.  I hid behind a tree; I turned to see is Jason had followed me.  For the first time and boy is chasing after me, literally!  I looked and saw nothing.  I stayed there for a moments when I heard footsteps coming. 

I stopped moving instantly, I held my breath for the worst.  I closed my eyes, when I opened them I saw Scribbles at my feet.  “Ssshhh…. I don’t want Jason to hear you!” I whispered.  “Too late.” I heard from behind me.
