Power Gems

Chapter 13

You wouldn’t believe it; I actually know to fly now! Jason taught me what he knew, which helped a lot actually.  What Luna said about fly was true, you really have to “connect” with your wings, and you have to feel every muscle in your wings. 

Also, I know how to freeze water a lot faster then before too.  Sorry I didn’t write down all the training, that stuff is “classified” I guess, Luna didn’t want us to reveal our training methods plus, it’s been like 3 months sense we first came to the Garden.  And yes, Jason and I are quite close friends. Even our animals are quite close.  Scribbles have learned how to freeze water, while I learned how to freeze people that can become useful. 

Jason learned how to do this huge fire blasts from his fists, and Torch, of course in a dragon and he can breathe fire.  Luna said that I too, can do these huge ice blasts from my fists but I can’t do that yet. 

Scribbles and I were next to the waterfall training when Luna came up to us.  “The Shadow Lurkers are now gone for now, we can continue our search for the other Power Gems.”  Said Luna.  “Right.” I said nodding and I went to go get Jason who was back at the tree house. 

I flew up the tree house. “Jason?” I called out.  “Over here!’ he called from the right hall way.  I walked over to his room, I knocked on the door. “ Come on, the Shadow Lurkers are gone, we need to find the other Power Gems,” I said talking to a wooden door. 

Jason came out; he was wearing his dark green V-neck t-shirt, and baggy black jeans.  His shaggy hair almost covered his dark blue eyes.  He looked like he just got out of bed, and it’s about 1 o’clock in the afternoon. 

“Where you sleeping? At 1 o’clock?”  I asked.  “Yep, I stayed up last night, I was working on my fire blasts.”  Jason answered.  “Well hurry and get ready, we have to leave.” I snapped at him.  “Okay, okay, mother I’ll get ready gosh.” He said waving his hands, turning around and closing the door in my face.

I left the tree house; I flew down back to Luna.  We waited for Jason for about 10 minutes.  He came and his hair was less in his face but it was still in his face a lot, he was wearing a light gray U-shirt with navy blue jeans.  “We ready to leave?” he asked, his voice scruffy.

I put my hand on my hips and gave him the evil eye.  Jason just looked at me confused.  “You should go to sleep earlier.” I said.  “Yeah whatever mother.”  He said not looking at me.  I scoffed.  Luna asked “Are we ready to leave?”  “Yes,” Jason said yawning.  “Then lets go,” Luna said raising her hand and a vortex.  Hope you remember how much I love vortexes. 

We all went inside and my head was literally spinning and spinning.  The vortex ended and he ended up at a little house.  Luna did this weird hand sign that looked like triangle, and guess what happened.  Time stopped.  So that’s how she does it.  We walked inside the little house. 

Luna walked into the kitchen.  How do I know? Its because there was a guy that   had black hair and looked like he was around his late 30’s, a another guy that had dark brown hair and looked he was in his early 20’s, a little girl that had black hair as well and would looked like she was 6, and a baby girl in a high chair. 

We went through the kitchen to a hallway, which lead to 3 bedrooms.  “Zoie, come here.” Said Luna doing that creepy voice of hers. A very skinny girl came out of the middle bedroom.  She had short spiky yellow hair and bright red lips, her eyes were a light brown. She was wearing a light blue belly-shirt with a pink cupcake on it and really short-shorts that were torn at the bottom and she had yellow cupcake earrings.     

“Who are you?” she said, she had a higher voice then she looked like she should.  Luna explained the whole “Power Gem must save the world” to Zoie.  “Oh, Ok then lets go!” Zoie said pumping her fist in the air, she ran toward me and gave me a hug.
