Chapter 15

My eyes widened as I turned my head, Jason was right behind me.  Something caught my eye.  Jason’s eyes weren’t dark blue like they should, they were black, which creeped me out- a lot. 

“Jason stop!!” I yelled at him.  He leaned in and closed his eyes.  “STOP!” I scream and I slapped Jason across he face as hard as I could.  He fell on the ground with a thump! He layed there, like a log.  I stood over him.  “I told you to stop.” I said over him.  Jason layed there without moving.  “Jokes up Jason now get up.” I ordered him but he layed there on the cold ground with leaves on his face.  “I said, get up Jason!” I ordered again.  He didn’t move. 

I bent down, “Get up!” I said shaking him.  I turned him over, he was still breathing.  He was passed out.  I saw on his cheek were I had slapped him; I was bright red with my handprint. 

I started patting his face, “Come on, get up!” I said.  He still layed there.  I had no choice; I put his arm around my shoulders and lifted him up.  With all this training going on, I was pretty strong for my size.  I finally got him to his feet and walked to the waterfall, his feet were dragging behind me, and so it was pretty hard getting him there. 

I set him down next to the waterfall.  I cupped my hand under the water; I took the water and splashed it on Jason.  He flinched; his eyes closed shut and began opening them.  “‘Bout time.” I said with my hands on my hips.  “What happened?” Jason asked, his voice sounded tired. “Well for starters, you confessed your love to me.” I said my voice sounding weird even for me.  “I what?” he asked again.  Remember? I hate stupid questions.  “ I told you, you confessed you loved me and… you kissed me.”  I said anger rising in my head.  Jason layed there wide eyed, his face turning red slowly. 

“The heck is wrong with you!” I screamed at him, my cheeks burning slightly.  “I-I don’t know what happened all I know is that you woke me up, I got dressed and that’s it.” Jason said, his voice in panic.  “Uh-huh,” I said still having my hands on my hips.  “It’s the truth!” He yelled at me getting up, his eyes were dark blue again.  I cocked my eyebrow.

To make this whole situation even more fun, I didn’t tell him that his eyes were black instead of dark blue.  Aren’t I evil?  “Whatever,” I said, I turned and walked away from Jason as Scribbles followed behind me. 

As I was walking to the tree house, I saw Luna standing there.  “Hi Luna,” I said.  “I was the whole thing Saber.” Luna said with no expression on her face.  “you did?” I asked.  Luna nodded her head.  “what was wrong with Jason?” I asked, I had no freaking idea what got over him. 

“A mind slug must have gotten in his head.” Luna said.  “A mind slug? What is that?” I asked. “A mind slug is a very small slug-like creature that goes into a person’s mind and makes them say things that the person they’re taking over doesn’t even know for sure in their own head. Saber, Jason might have feelings for you but doesn’t notice it yet.  Or, the mind slug was just making him say that so that you two would hate each other.  A mind slug’s only purpose is to get the person closest to the person they’re taking over to hate each other, wither it’s the truth or not, but they most likely tell the truth.
