“I did it!” I screamed feeling really successful.  Scribbles barked and jumped, he landed on the frozen water.  I giggled as Scribbles tried to get up but the ice was too slippery.  “Good job,” said Luna.  “Now try to unfreeze it.”

I closed my eyes and held out my hand toward the ice.  I concentrated; I felt a gush of wind and opened my eyes.  The water was unfrozen and running.  “You caught on pretty quick.” Said Luna.  I smiled and looked at Scribbles.  “Shouldn’t Scribbles try to freeze the water?” I asked. “Not yet, he’s just a puppy, maybe in a few days.”  Luna said.

I looked down at Scribbles, he looked back at me.  “I must go back to Jason, he’s waiting for me.” Luna said.  I nodded and looked at the waterfall.  Luna left; it was just Scribbles and I. I should keep practicing.  I thought.  I held out my hand and closed my eyes.  Normally the puddle that the waterfall made was the only thing I froze, if this Power Gem stuff gives me powers, might as well use them.  I concentrated, really hard; I imagined the whole waterfall was frozen.  I felt a gush of wind; my pigtails almost flew in the air around my head.

I opened my eyes.  I looked up and saw that I had frozen the whole waterfall!  “Oh my gosh…” I said under my breath.  I looked down at Scribbles who barked in delight.  I jumped up and down in excitement.

“Not bad,” I heard from behind me.  I turned around to see Jason with Torch on his head.  “Aren’t you supposed to be training with Luna?” I said.  “I already got the hang of it.”  He said with a smirk.  I scoffed.

“Lets see if you’re so smart.” I said.  “Alright.” Jason said shrugging his shoulders.  In a split second, he looked like he punched the air then a burst of fire came out of his fist.  The fire blast past me and hit the frozen waterfall.  The ice melted in an instant and water began rushing again.  I looked at him wide eyed.

“You almost killed me you idiot!!” I screamed at him.  “But I didn’t,” he said with that stupid smirk.   “Maybe you should practice your aim!” I snapped at him.  “Don’t need to.” He said with no expression.  “You’re a butt-head!” I screamed at him.  “Butt-head” that’s the best I can do?  Jason laughed at me, like he always does.

“Leave me alone, let me practice my ice powers, go burn down a forest.”  I said to him with a low voice.  “Don’t say that to me.” He said with a low and angry voice.  “Why not? Your good at burning down someone’s confidence, why not burn down a forest?” I asked still using a low voice.  Jason said, “Because I lost my father in a forest fire.”
