"So this Midoriya boy, did he have any idea that it was you?" I questioned Himiko, a deep rose blush coating her soft cheeks. Strands of golden locks fell messily from her buns down over her porcelain skin.
"Nope! I thought he had worked it out at one point, but luckily I had brought another person's blood with me, so he didn't suspect a thing in the end," she beamed, grinning widely at me from across the booth—clearly pleased with her little excursion.
The blonde had successfully infiltrated a hero provisional license exam yesterday without Tomura's permission, sedating a high school girl and using her as a disguise in order to sneak her way in. Saying it was the only way for her to see the young boy that she had been so enamoured by recently.
"Was it really worth it though?" I hummed in delight as I took another bite out of the delicious chicken salad sandwich Kurogiri had so kindly made me.
"Uhh, yes!" She shouted, like the answer was so obvious. "You should have seen him, Mimi, all scraped up and bruised when he rescued me from falling..." She exhaled dreamily, her chin resting lightly on to her hands while her thoughts were blatantly wandering back to the green-haired high schooler.
From previous discussions with Himiko, her fascination for the young hero in training had all stemmed from seeing him broken and bleeding on her first official mission for the League. Back when they had more members and Tomura's master still had an active role in the organisation.
She had explained to me in great detail that tattered boys, all beaten and reeking of blood were her type. The unorthodox obsession for people's blood that she 'loved' was clearly a side effect from her quirk.
Luckily, Himiko loved me and the League in a way that was different to the unfortunate souls that she so fervently claimed to 'love'. She'd never attempted to hurt any one of us or steal our blood unknowingly.
Thankfully!
Personally, I felt there was more to it, that she had a more meaningful reason behind her obsession for the boy, that she wasn't divulging in. I wasn't going to force it out of her though, I would wait patiently for when she was ready to open up about it all to me.
That's what friends are for, right?
"And, taking his blood, was that necessary?" I raised my eyebrows, bringing the sandwich back up to my lips, questioning her with my expression.
"Most definitely."
"You're telling me that a drop of his blood was worth all that hassle?" I mumbled, while still chewing on the food in a very unladylike manner. Quickly glancing over at the sound of a door closing shut, my gaze followed Dabi casually strolling over to the bar and taking a seat beside Iguchi. Neither one had any interest whatsoever in mine and Himiko's conversation.
"A drop is all I need," her snippy reply gaining my attention once again.
It wasn't a secret that Himiko didn't require a large amount of someone's blood to transform into them, a drop indeed was all she needed. However, what I couldn't wrap my head around was why she would want his blood in the first place. What could she possibly want with a hero, and a young one in training at that?
"And what do you plan on using this drop of blood for exactly?"
She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. "I haven't thought that far ahead yet but I'm sure I'll think of something," she smiled eagerly. My eyes narrowed suspiciously at the sudden vagueness.
"Well count yourself lucky Tomura didn't send you into the afterlife for going off without his permission like that," I stifled back a chuckle.
"Maybe if you two weren't locked away in his bedroom for the last two days then I would have been able to," flashing her sharp pearly white teeth at me in a wolfish grin. "That reminds me..."
