Lisa made her way into the house in the dark without turning on the lights. The way she was tiptoeing towards the stairs to her room was akin to that of a thief. She stopped in front of Jennie's room and decided not to wake her up as it was already late into the night.
Seulgi, that rascal succeeded in making her drink more than she intended. Lisa forgot to call Jennie to tell her that she was going to be late.
Thinking that the little girl must be sleeping Lisa went straight to her room. She entered and turned on the light and saw Jennie seated on the bed and Lisa screamed falling to the floor.
"Aaahhh, Jennie? What are you doing here?"
Jennie glared at Lisa and stood up saying "I just caught you coming home late. Care to explain, Ms. Manoban? You didn't even tell me where you went to?"
Lisa stood up and walked towards the bathroom. She wrecked of alcohol so, she didn't want to get close to Jennie.
Lisa washed her face as Jennie stood at the door watching her. "Did you drink?" Jennie asked though she already knew he did.
"Yeah, I had a few drinks with my childhood friend" Lisa finished washing her face and stood in front of Jennie at the door watched her as she spoke worriedly with tears.
"Why didn't you call me then? Do you know how worried I was? I didn't know who to call because I realised I didn't even know anybody close to you. I just suddenly realised I didn't even know you at all. If anything happened I would be the last one to know" Jennie said and sobbed.
Lisa suddenly felt her heart swelling as she saw her tears and pulled Jennie into her embrace hugging her closely as Lisa said "I'm sorry. It won't happen again; I promise, okay?"
Jennie flushed and felt her heartbeat raised uncontrollably. She stayed in Lisa's embrace as Lisa ran circles on her back.
They stayed like that for five minutes and Lisa let go and held Jennie's hands meeting her gaze "Jennie, you can only worry like that for me okay? You are not allowed to be like this with another man or woman".
Lisa pecked her cheek and walked to her bed leaving Jennie puzzled as she stood stupefied in the same position for a while before turning around to look at Lisa.
Jennie touched her cheek as she watched the woman who had fallen asleep the moment she laid on the bed and walked out.
