EDEN ESTATES MANOBAN VILLA.
JENNIE KIM ROOM:
Nini walked out of the bathroom wiping her face with a towel and saw Irene looking at her and said "You're awake?"
Nini went and sat on the dressing table taking her hairdryer to dry her hair. Irene sat up and looked at her through the mirror replying "I'm sorry, for last night".
Nini looked back at her through the mirror and turned on the dryer before saying "You should be sorry. Thanks to you, Lisa gave Jane a scolding last night because of you".
Irene looked at her confused and Nini added "I'm Nini".
Irene stood up and walked to her. She stood behind Nini and snatched the hairdryer saying "I know. You are the one who bullied me the last time at the old mansion, right?"
Irene used to dryer to blow on Nini's short hair as they chatted.
"Yes, I am the one. Who asked you to be a bitch back then? You were so arrogant, acting like the world belonged to you". Nini said with a smile.
"I know right? Why did I live that way? Now, I have only myself to blame. I think I deserve what I'm going through". Irene said.
"Who said you deserve it? Nobody deserves what you're going through. On what basis must you receive such treatment?" Nini and Irene looked at each other through the mirror.
"I really like you. I think you and I have great chemistry, nini?"
"You...I don't like you". Nini said with a frown.
"Really? But, I think I like Jennie Ruby Jane Kim. Whether you're Jennie, Nini or Jane. I just like Jennie Ruby Jane Kim".
"Tsk. Go and wash up before we go down". Nini took the dryer from Irene and turned off make switch. Irene smiled and went into the bathroom.
Nini and Irene got down to the hall and saw Lisa preparing breakfast. "Are you the one preparing breakfast? Where is Aunt Cate?" Nini asked as she sat on the dining table with Irene.
"I gave her some days off. Because of what's happening, I didn't want her to get suspicious of anything". Lisa said as she finished chopping some green and red pepper.
"Then, our breakfast, lunch and supper is going to be on you from now onwards?" Irene asked.
Nini turned and looked at her with a frown asking "Our? Do you not plan to leave this place at all?"
"Oh, why should I leave when I get everything for free here?" Irene teased.
"Huh? You're more brazen than I thought. Don't you have any shame at all, impeding on us this way?" Nini asked feeling frustrated.
"Oh, no. Shame? Is that food? Is it edible?" Irene looked at Nini interestingly.
"Wow, you two make me speechless". Lisa put a pot of chicken soup on the table and said to them.
"I thought you two will at least get along. Why are you still bickering like when Jane was here?"
"I know, right? I guess their telepathy is so strong" Irene added.
"Breakfast is ready, stop talking and eat" Lisa said.
"She is the one provoking me".
Irene and Nini continued to bicker as they ate and Lisa just ignored them. After their breakfast, Nini accompanied Irene to the grocery shop across the estates to get some groceries for the housewarming party.
Irene wore a long dress and covered her face with a black mask so that no one would recognise her. They picked a lot of stuff and their carts were full as they finished and pushed them to the counter for their bill.
The cashier put everything into separate poly bags and Nini paid with the black card. The bags were so heavy that they kept stumbling as they walked out and laughed at themselves.
Nini and Irene kept the bags close to themselves as Nini made a call. Soon Seulgi arrived in her car and pulled over. She got down from her car and picked all the things into the boot and the ladies entered the car and Seulgi drove to the estates.
IRENE'S VILLA.
"You can put everything here, Nini and I will handle the rest". Irene said to Seulgi as she brought in the bags. Seulgi ignored her and sent the bags to the kitchen. She knew Irene felt uncomfortable around her, so, she was careful with Irene.
Seulgi felt pity for Irene and somehow that pity made her drawn to Irene. Irene used to be so confident and bold but now, she seemed like a timid cat and was too careful and afraid. Anytime, Seulgi looked at her, She felt like she wanted to help Irene.
Seulgi wished there was something, anything she could help Irene with but, still she didn't want to rush Irene. There was still more time to get to know each other. Seulgi is someone who loved smart and confident women and she admired how Irene handled the shareholders meeting three months ago but, she suddenly became like this and Seulgi wanted to help her, make her go back to how she was.
Seulgi excused herself and went out after making sure everything was in place. She didn't want to impose further since they were going to meet again later in the night to celebrate Irene's move into her new home,
Nini watched Irene with interest as she tried to avoid Seulgi every possible way. It was fun seeing Irene act timid yet would blush at every word or action of Seulgi.
Irene opened the fridge and removed two bottles of water and caught Nini smiling and asked "Why do you keep smiling like that?"
Irene threw the water at her and Nini caught it. She unscrewed the lid and sipped before saying.
"I see you trying so hard to not get sucked into Seulgi's eyes".
Nini winked at Irene and Irene turned her face away saying "What are you talking about?"
Nini walked closer to Irene and put her hand on Irene's shoulder saying "I am not really an expert when it comes to love. In times like these, I wished my big sister was here instead. Oh, that little bitch is an expert in flirting. Jennie's main weakness is a beautiful woman. She would have taught you on how to behave around Seulgi. Unfortunately, you are stuck with a scientist. Bear with it". Nini patted Irene's shoulder
Irene turned and looked at her asking "Seulgi Kang. Why is she nice to me?"
"Dear, do you even need to ask? Anyone wouldn't be nice to a pretty woman?" Nini said shaking her head. It looked like all of Irene's self-esteem was gone.
"But, why? I have a pretty face; but that is all there is. Which woman or man would be nice to a woman like me?" Irene lamented.
"Stop, or I will just make a poison that will keep your mouth shut forever. What is wrong with you?"
