Afterwards, the man removed a pair of hand gloves and wore. He then walked to the IV connected to Jennie's wrist and removed an injection and injected it into the IV. Tears trimmed down Jennie's face as she laid helplessly.

She wanted to wake up from the dream. It was becoming real as her heart started beating fasted and she was losing her breath.

The man bent down closer to her saying "Hello, my beautiful niece. Welcome back to life. Here is a little gift from your uncle" Jennje struggled in the bed trying to open her eyes to no avail.

Slowly, she was drifting into a darkened silence. Her hands started shaking and her whole body followed suit. Jennie felt her consciousness slowly leaving her and she lifted her hand trying to get to the emergency power button before giving up.

The man looked at her with a sly smile and walked out bumping into Jisoo. Jisoo opened the door and a man pushed her hard on the floor and ran out. Jisoo got up and thought of Jennie and ran inside and saw Jennie almost paralysed.

"Shit"

Jisoo pressed the emergency power button and immediately disconnected the IV as the other doctors and nurses rushed in.

OPERATION ROOM

Irene and seulgi rushed to the operation room and saw jisoo standing outside. "Chu, what happened?" Seulgi asked.

"Someone tried to harm Jennie. She is in the operation room with the neurosurgeon. They're performing a brain flush on her". Jisoo told them.

"How did this happen? How did someone get into her room?" Irene asked.

"I don't know. I went to check up on her and when I opened the door, the man pushed me down and ran away. I was completely unaware and I couldn't chase after him. I had to make sure Jennie was safe first. We can check the CCTV camera later. The doctor is already performing an emergency surgery on her for flush out the residue of the drug injected into her"

"Have you called Lisa?" Seulgi asked.

"She must be on the plane, her number if off". Jisoo said.

"What did the man do to Jisoo, why is she still inside?" Irene asked worriedly.

"Whoever he was, the man intended to make her brain-dead". Jisoo told them.

"What?" Seulgi and Irene said at the same time.

"The drug he put into the IV is used for cancer patients who are in their last stage. If it were given to a normal person, it could make them brain-dead. So, the person didn't want to kill her but make her vegetative ad senile". Irene shuddered as she heard jisoo and held unto Seulgi.

"That's terrible. Who would want Jennie dead?" Irene asked.

"Seul, come with me. I need to show you the CCTV recording. You can come with us, Irene. The operation will take about 4-6 hours" Jisoo told them.

"Let's go babe". Seulhi held Irene's hand and they walked away.

HOSPITAL SECURITY ROOM

Seulgi and Irene followed Jisoo inside and the head of security stood up when he saw them. He greeted them and showed them to the cameras saying "Boss, I apologise for what happened. The man who was supposed to guard the room suddenly had a running stomach and when to relief himself. I already checked the CCTV. Boss, as you can see the person knew exactly where the camera was and avoided them".

The head of security pointed out some details as he spoke "He didn't also use the elevator. He seemed to have come from the underground parking lodge and entered the hospital"

"He really knew where the cameras were and avoided them. He is not a normal killer. This man looks skilful and intelligent. He might as well be an assassin". Seulgi concluded.

"An assassin? Then Jennie could have probably gone brain-dead if Jisoo didn't arrive early?" Irene asked.

"Yes, that would have been the case" Jisoo concluded.

"I called three of my men. They will take turns guarding the room from now onwards. Whoever he is, he definitely has someone from the inside helping him"

"Chu, I think your hospital has rats leaking out information. I won't be surprised if Lorca or Leo has a hand in this but, I will start my own investigation". Seulgi said as she held unto Irene's hand.

"I will start an internal investigation and find out who it is". Jisoo said as they walked out.

"No, don't act even if you find out who it is. The man will soon know he failed in his attempt. He will definitely make another move soon". Seulgi told them. "I will set a trap for him. I will give Lisa a call when Jennie is out of danger".

THE FOLLOWING MORNING

Jennie was moved back to the same room after the operation. Irene watched over her as she slept while Seulgi and Jisoo went to Jisoo's office to start with their trap.

Lisa opened the door to the office abruptly and asked panting for breath "Where is Jennie? Is she alright?"

"Look at you, panting for breath. Jennie is fine. She is asleep". Jisoo told her.

"I want to see her". Lisa said.

"Off course, you want to see her, but, now is not the time. We need to talk. Sit down" seulgi pulled out another chair for Lisa. Lisa sat down and Jisoo explained to her everything that happened.

After Seulgi was able to get through to her last night. Lisa took a return flight back without wasting time. She was worried and anxious while on the plane.

Lisa listened and became angry the more she listened. Someone actually dared to harm her person? She smiled and nodded at everything Seulgi said and they finally finished their set up.

They were now waiting for the rat to send the information off.
