20-The Selection

   Tuesday came. My strength not totally came back pero magana na ulit akong kumain. Pinilit ko ng pumasok.

Logan and Catherine even Kuya Jun against with it but, they can't do anything. Finals is coming it's not a good idea neglecting lessons this time. I have records that I need to take care of. Drama is out of it. I am walking through the hallway, catching everyone attention again with my neutral expression. I heard murmurs and whispers again.

'Ow, that audition's already spread fast huh!'

I heave a hard sigh. This is gonna be a troublesome. I stop at the bulletin board of our Department. Students make way. I glanced at the new announcement.

Naitagilid ko ang aking ulo pagkabasa ko ng aking pangalan sa listahan. This is really not a good idea.

'What should I do?' I glanced at my wrist watch. I still have 38 minutes before my first subject. Bumuntong-hininga ako at nagsimula ng maglakad.

'DSSO I'm coming'

Mahigpit ang hawak ko sa strap ng shoulder bag ko. I don't know exactly what I'm feeling right now. Masyado pa rin akong nanghihina. I stopped as I already reached my destination.

"Department Supreme Student Office." Bumuntong-hininga ulit ako. I lifted my hand to knocked but the door immediately opened. The man who opened it got shocked. His eyes rounded. He step backward.

"Miss Natasha!" Larry, the DSS Auditor, almost whispered my name. He give me way. Gesturing and letting me in.

"Who's that Larry?" Cyril, The DSS Treasurer. She half shouted those words.

I glanced at Larry and nodded. I entered and walked like a Royal one. They gasps as they saw me entering their domain. Feels like a foe suddenly barged in and pointed them my gun.

I heard a chair being push. Tinignan ko ito and saw Harper's face. Standing and looking at me. I can't read what's beyond his eyes again. Very deep.

"Natasha!" His baritone voice made me smile.

'I still love hearing my name being called by him'

"Is there a chance that I can quit?" I asked straightforwardly. Walang balak na patagalin pa ang pagstay ko dito. This place is suffocating. I can see Clarisse staring at me from Harper's side.

'Is she being territorial?' I heard another gasps from them. Harper's eyebrows meet.

"No!" Clarisse being a nosy cat answer my question. Itinagilid ko ang ulo ko papunta sa kanya. Erasing my small smile. Looking at her seriously. I again turned my eyes to Harper. Lifting my right eyebrow. Waiting for his answer. I don't accept answers kung hindi si Harper ang magsasabi. Bumuntong-hininga siya.

"No Natasha, I already signed the paper and passed it to the upper officers. We can't take it back." He put his two hands infront of him. Above of his table.
