Third person:
Damon is trying to burn Elijah's body but it doesn't work. Katherine joins him.
"Mmm, burning flesh. If you're trying to get the dagger back, you're wasting your time. He's indestructible." Katherine states as Damon stops trying to burn the corpse.
"No kidding. How do you know so much about Original vampires?" He asks as he glances at the bitch.
"Spent 500 years running from one." She shrugs.
"So when I told you my plan to kill Elijah, why didn't you warn me that I'd die if I used the dagger on him?" Damon asks, a frown carved into his face.
"Oh, there's so many rules. It's all very confusing." Katherine states as she leans against the wall.
"Did you know I would die?"
"Did Elijah tell you his plan? Did he have a dagger to kill Klaus with?" Katherine turns it around.
"Why are you still here?"
"Because you haven't forcibly removed me." Katherine says as if it is the dumbest question in earth. In return, the Salvatore threatens to burn her.
"You wouldn't." Katherine states, but knowing, deep down, he would.
"Oh, I would." He conforms her thoughts.
"Damon, be smart. I want Klaus dead just as much as you do. More. If I wasn't be honest about helping, I'd be long gone by now, ok? You can hate me. But we want the same thing. And you know... I always get what I want." She says before her eyes spot something he has never before. "what's that?"
"What?" She gestures to the necklace around his neck.
"the necklace." Damon frowns before turning away.
"What necklace?"
"Don't act dumb, I saw it." he sighs, pulling it over his head and looking at the small beautiful silver ring at the end of it.
"It's a chain with a ring on it." his eye brows draw together as he thinks back to the memory drawn to it.
"Tell me the story behind it." Katherine asks, intrigued on the woman's ring.
"It's none of your business." Damon states as he puts it back around his neck and under his shirt.
"Come on. tell me one thing about it." she pressures and he sighs.
"It was the ring I was going to ask angel's hand with." he states as he looks at Katherine. a shocked expression on her face but it slowly disappears.
"Leave before I burn you." Damon holds the torch at her. She's about to leave.
"I wanted out of the tomb, didn't matter who paid the price. Of course I knew that you'd die." She states before she is completely from view.
