Chapter 36

I groan as I search through millions of boxes in stefan's room.

"Your relatives were such packrats." I say and I finally pick up two outfits and turn to damon.

"So... Sexy biker chic or safe good girl?" I ask, holding each outfit up in turn.

"Ooh. You know it's not too late to back out, right? You stay here, safe." Damon asks and I roll my eyes.

"And what, miss out on all the fun? This would be my first school dance Damon!" I complain as I put down my outfits. "And why would you care so much."

"Hey." He walks closer to me with concerned eyes.

"All this time spent worrying about Klaus. I haven't had any fun. and if bonnie is right, I can have fun for atleast a little while." I say, making Damon chuckle.

"And tonight, we will put an end to him. And I still care for you, okay. I always will." he says, he goes down to kiss me but misses me and picks up an outfit. "And I sort of want to see you in this outfit." he holds up the biker chic and I roll my eyes.

"Of course. now you go get ready while I do." I Reply.

"You look perfect. stop messing." Damon hits my hands away from my jacket. I pout at him before we see bonnie and Jeremy.

"Damon, angel." bonnie says and I smile.

"Hey." I reply before entering with damon. we make our way through the sea of people dancing.

"This brings back so many memories. of course this outfit would have been on the floor in backstage with Ringo, but hey, still memories." I joke, making Damon smirk.

"Well most of that could be arranged." he says as everyone else arrives.

"Stop that." stefan hisses and I stick my tongue out at him, making him chuckle. My eyes get drawn to the stage as everyone stops dancing to see a girl on stage. one I learnt to be called Dana.

"Thanks for being here, everybody. We have a special shout-out tonight." She starts and we make our way to the front of the stage.

"This is for angel. From Klaus." A song starts to play and I recognise it straight away.

"That was a lame, cheap shot. He's just trying to bait us." Damon says as my heart begins to race. how does he know about this song? It was my favourite.

"I know everyone here." Elena says and I glance around.

"Maybe he's not here. Just wants us to believe that he is." Stefan says but I shake my head.

"He will be here. he will." I insist.

"It's a party, people. Blend. Let him come to us." Damon says as he wraps his arm around my waist. "some of us seriously need to calm down." I hit his chest and he smirks at me.

"Good idea." Bonnie says as she takes Jeremy's arm.

"No, no, I really don't feel like dancing." I smirk at the pair as she drags him off anyway.

"There's Rick." Damon says before turning to the others. "we'll be back." He walks me over to rick and my eyes keep glancing around.

"Special dedication, huh? This guy's a little twisted." Alaric states and I stand closer to damon.

"I'm not impressed." Damon says as he hugs me closer. "he chose the wrong girl to dedicate it to."

"No? And are you two together?" Alaric asks, suprised.
