Stronger than the rest

Chapter 17

I don't know how long I was stood there... but all I know is that I can't possibly do this. slowly, I edge towards the water and stretch my arms out at my sides. This won't kill me... but atleast I will be gone. I can't love Damon while Elijah is around... I can't love Elijah while Damon is around and I can't do what I want with klaus around... so why not, not have me around? Until I can think clearly... just for a while. I go to fall but stop myself. Come on! COME ON! I turn around and face the forest, tears down my face. My feet shuffle back before I am free falling. Air wraps around me as my limbs flap against the wind. Hair goes into my face as the oxygen is forced out of my lungs as I hit the water with force. my clothes become drenched the moment they hit and I watch as my vision becomes blurred.

"I love you." the voice giggles in my head and I see Elijah in front of me.

"I love you to Evangelina." he replies before the face comes closer. Elijah's voice replays different things he has said to me as I see the things he did as he said them. Memories and visions flash as air bubbles leave my lungs and the water caresses every inch of me. Elijah's voice.... it's Elijah's voice... focus on Elijah's voice. soon, black covers my eyes and I let it take me away.

My eyes widen as I see Evangelina fall into the water. My heart aches as I run towards the large lake as she enters the water. no! I quickly run in and raise my hands. Chanting, I let my magic run through me. I watch as her body moves towards me and once she is close enough, I pick her up in my arms. Even though she can not die... she doesn't deserve this. my eyes gaze over her, her pale skin, closed eyes, purple and blue lips, drenched hair and clothes. Dead. Tears fill my eyes as I see her like this. Slowly, I make my way to my family's new mansion. once I enter, I see them and they see me.

"Mother?" Rebekah asks, slightly confused before their eyes land on the poor girl in my arms. Kol, Elijah and Klaus rush to us and I put her in my second oldest's arms.

"What happened?" Elijah asks. As he holds her close to his body. I watch my son care for the girl and the hurt and love in his eyes. And this is all I needed to know the soup mate bond worked.

"I found her in the lake." I reply before turning to Niklaus. Tears are in his eyes as he looks down, slightly afraid.

"Look at me!" He obliges. "Do you know why I'm here?" I ask, careful to keep attention to my other children as they fuss over the dead girl.

"You're here to kill me." He replies and I sigh, shaking my head.

"Niklaus, you are my son and I am here to forgive you. I want us to be a family again." I state and look at the rest of my family. "I want us all to be a family, including Evangelina."

Damon's p.o.v

"ANGEL!" Stefan shouts and I sigh. We have spent ages in the forest looking for her. she couldn't have gone that far... she wouldn't have gone that far, she won't stray from Elijah or klaus. Something cracks under my foot and I look down. Her phone. my eyes widen as I pick it up, brushing the dirt from it. luckily, there is only one small crack.

"Stefan!" I shout slightly and he comes over. "her phone." he takes it from my hands and then something catches my eye... the tree. I raise my hand and brush my fingertips across the carving.

"It's code locked." he replies and I sigh, pulling my hand back. What I have learnt is that angel is sentimental, so the password has to be something meaning full to her. I take the phone back and start typing.

1234. Nope.

1000. nope.

Ugh....

"Last try stefan." I state, handing him the phone. he takes it and frowns slightly as he thinks. Stefan types something in and he unlocks the phone. I notice a picture of me and her on the back ground. No wonder it was here.
