Chapter 21

"Jeremy....." I groan as I try to wiggle out his arms.

"Noooo!" He whines as he pulls me closer. "5 more minutes."

"You said that half an hour ago! And I still have to get to work! Matt will be mad!" I finally get free but slam into something hard.

"Angel!" Jeremy leans over as a laugh escapes my lips. The cover following. he laughs before I grab his arm and pulling him ontop of me.

"I like this." he chuckles and I roll my eyes. Jeremy slowly stands and brings me up with him.

"Now I will have to et hanged and go." I say as I walk over to my clothes.

"Why do you need to go I work? You are an ancient and hot vampire chic." Jeremy's asks and I look at him.

"Elijah wants me to join highschool, so I am pissing him off by joining work. anyway, I don't have to see his face around anymore when I'm at the grill." he chuckles before the smell of blood hits me.

"Come here." I slowly turn and see him holding a knife and his hand out. my fangs push through and I spin away.

"Jer..." I drift of as I breath in and out slowly.

"Angel. you need to feed." he walks up behind me and puts his hand to my lips and I can't help but bite. his blood is sweet down my throat as I keep drinking. Soon, I quickly pull away and kiss his wound before biting into my wrist.

"Drink." he stares at me in the eyes before slowly taking my wrist to his mouth. "my blood will also stop you from being compelled. but it will be from your system in a day." He pulls his mouth away and smirks.

"Would you turn me?" I freeze at his question.

"I don't know....." I say before walking to the bathroom to clean myself.

"Your late." matt states as I put on my apron and walk through the doors.

"Sorry. it won't happen again." he nods and I quickly get some orders.

"He is going easy on you." Adam states as he comes up behind me. "But don't forget you are matt's employee in training. Not the manager's. He is worse."

"I'm not scared." I reply before handing him some drinks. "take these to table two."

"Feisty, I like it." he winks and I roll my eyes.

"Boyfriend, and too young." I shove the drinks in his hands before walking off to another table. I feel another presence behind me and chuckle.

"Adam. I have told you-" I stop talking when I see luka and smile. "heya." he frowns at me and I can't wait to hear this rant.

"You haven't been back in ages angel!! Where have you been!?" I sigh before he pulls me into a tight hug.

"I was trapped somewhere and I have been staying at a friends." I reply and he smirks.

"Jeremy's?" I nod as I blush. "awww... is the big bad vampire blushing??"

"Luka. shut it before I rip out your heart." he pouts and then smiles.

"You love me too much." he pecks my cheek before walking off.

"Prick."

"Heard that!" I flick him off. he smirks at me before heading I the pool table.

"Any more water, sir?" I ask the blonde haired man.

"No, just get us the bill please." he replies and I give him a smile.

"Sure thing sir." I walk off to the bills and write one out it them.

At the other end of the grill, I notice Jeremy walking in and smirk to myself. But he doesn't see me and walks over to caroline. Slowly, I pull my hair behind my ear and listen.

"Hey. How's it going?" Jeremy asks as he sits down.

" What are you doing here?" Caroline says in confusion. is something going on?

"Bonnie called. I wanted to help. How's it going?" Something is going on. I walk back to the blonde man and hand him his check.

"I will be back in a minute to pick it up. or just ask matt to." I say, not bothering to make eye contact. I make my way round the grill and slowly hide myself, in plane sight, near the two people.

"She's selling it and he's buying it. She's giving him the sex smile." I can hear the smirk in Caroline's voice. My head darts up tithe pool table and I notice bonnie with luka. hell no. I storm past everyone and towards the pool table but soon stop at the sound I Jeremy's voice.

"All right, Caroline. I get it." his voice has something laced in it. jealousy? No. someone comes up next to me and puts a tray in my arms.

"Give these to table 5 and then These to table 10." Matt walks off and I sigh. wait, table 5... My smirk returns as I notice it as Jeremy's and Caroline's table.

"Your jealous!" Caroline's chirps as I give table 10 their drinks and their burgers.

"I'm not! I have angel." Jeremy says and I blush like a fool.

"Ugh! You are! I can hear it in your voice and your heart rate is heightened... so I know your lying." I freeze on the spot and a tear threatens to escape but I wipe it away.

"Fine... I still like bonnie! Happy?" Jeremy says in just a whisper like someone will hear him. but it's to late, I have.

"I knew it! But what about angel? What would she do when she finds out? Not to be mean, but she is unstable." Caroline panics and I hear Jeremy sigh. slowly, I make my way round the grill, the long way to table 5.

"I don't know. I like her, but..... god..... but every time I am with angel, I think of bonnie, but when I'm with bonnie I think of angel." he admits and I feel more tears race down my face. I appear at the table but they don't notice my presents.

"What would you do if bonnie liked you back?" Caroline asks and I slowly put down her drink.

"I don't know....."

"Well I will make it bloody easier for you." their attention gets snapped to me and their eyes widen. "we are fucking through Jeremy Gilbert!" Everyone stares as I pour his coke over his head. he gasps and stands.

"ANGEL! You are fired!" Matt shouts from near me. a smirk appears on my face and I face him.

"Fine! I don't give one! You can kill me and I wouldn't give one!" I rip the apron from my waist and throw it at him. matt glares at me as I storm out the grill.
