Stronger than the rest

Chapter 12

Damon opens a set of double doors and exits the bedroom. Elena and Rose look at him from their seats in the living area.

" Time to go. Alice is soundly sleeping and won't remember a moment of this horribly stupid day." Damon states as I walk towards the doors.

"Good plan!" I say as I reach for the nob.Suddenly, the front doors burst open, sending me Into the wall behind. a groan escapes me lips and three men walk into the apartment.

"We're here to meet the doppelgänger." Cody.

"Thank you for coming."Elena attempts to walk towards them, but Damon pushes her back.

"I will break your arm." he whispers and she looks at him with disbelief. "There's nothing here for you." He says to cody. I slowly come out from behind the door and stand next to Elena.

The man in the back suddenly drops to the floor, dead. Elijah stands behind him. The other two vampires look back at Him and he vamp-speeds towards them, looking from one to the other. Rose gasps and vamp-speeds out of the apartment. The original looks over at Us.

"I killed you. You were dead." Damon states and I rush over to elijah.

"For centuries now." He replies.

"Elijah dont." I whisper as I stand in don't of him. but he pushes me next to him and looks at cody.

"Who are you?" He asks to the vamp.

"Who are you?" Cody replies.

"I'm Elijah." Cody's eyes widen and he smiles.

"We were gonna bring her to you. For Klaus. She's the doppelgänger. I don't know how she exists, but she does. Klaus will want to see her." Cody states an Elijah walks upto him, ignoring my pleads.

"Does anyone else know that you're here?" Elijah asks and I use my vamp speed to step before him.

"No."

"Well, then, you have been incredibly helpful. angel." Elijah looks at me and I shake my head.

"No. you know my policy." I reply but me just glares at me.

"Change it." he hisses. "or Niklaus will be satisfied." Iplunge my arm's into the two vampire's chest. They grunt as I rip their hearts out. The two vampires fall to the floor, dead, and I lets their hearts drop from my bloodied hands. Damon prepares to fight with Elijah, but He shocks them, by turning around and vamp-speeding out of the apartment. Damon looks back at Elena, both of them with shocked expressions on their faces.

"Sorry." I mutter to them.

"You work with Elijah!?" Damon shouts and I sigh.

"Sorry." I vamp-speed outta there. I keep going as tears fall down my face. Elijah has never told me to kill someone. Even though I haven't seen him in years, the moments we bump into each other, he has never told me to kill anyone. I reach somewhere where I would never thought I would. the tomb.

"BONNIE!" I hear a shout and I speed down to the tomb.

"Stefan?" I ask and he looks up from holding bonnie. I run to them and help try and wake bonnie. "bonnie. bonnie, wake up! Please! Bonnie!"

"Yes! Because I am still in here!" Katherine sings. she starts to pace inside the tomb and I walk upto it.

"What are you doing?!" I ask them and Katherine stops.

"They tried to get the moonstone." She says and I glare at them.

"You should have gotten me to do it!" I shout at them.

"You were busy!" Stefan replies and bonnie finally wakes up. "Are you okay? Are you okay?" His worried tone reminds me of him but I quickly shake it from my thoughts.

"It didn't work." she mutters with tearful eyes. Stefan helps her as she sits up so she doesn't fall again. "I'm not strong enough. even with help I can't do it!"

"Ahhh, that's to bad. I'm still hungry." Katherine pouts before grabbing something. my eyes widen at the sight.

"JEREMY!" I shout as she pins him to the wall and prepares to bite Jeremy. Stefan steps forward but he is to late. I vamp-speed inside and push Jeremy out, pinning Katherine to the wall.

"GO!" I shout at them and I let go of Katherine. she wears a smug smile at me and I walk upto the door. I place my hand at the entrance and it is blocked by an invisible wall.

"Angel." tears fill Jeremy's eyes and I shake my head.

"Go." they do as I say and leave.

Third person pov. --

Damon and Elena walk up the steps to the front porch from everything that happened today. thoughts still going throw the Salvatore's head about angel.

"Thank you for bringing me home." elena sighs.

"Well, your ride left you. I didn't want to leave you stranded." Damon states as he and Elena stop at the front door and turn to face each other

"She was just scared. She didn't mean to run." She tries to defend rose, and in her mind, angel.

"Yes, she did. She's been running for 500 years." Soon the conversation changes from rose to angel without them knowing.

"I can't believe Elijah's alive. And angel is with him. Why do you think he told angel to kill those two vampires and just let us go?"

"If I had a dollar for every time some evil vampire surprised me." Damon sighs thinking about angel still. she lied to him. was she only hear to get Elena? To kill Elena?

Elena walks towards the door, but Damon catches her arm before she opens it and turns her around so she faces him.

"What you did today was incredibly stupid." He scolds the gilbert.

"Actually, the only thing that was stupid was that I got caught." Elena wriggles her arm out of his grasp and he lets her go. "I don't question why you and Stefan and everyone else tries so hard to save me. You shouldn't question why I would try to save all of you."

Jeremy opens the front door for his sister and stares at them.

"Damon, good night, okay?" Elena is about to enter the house but stops when she sees Jeremy. Damon looks at him.

"What?"

"It's Angel." With them words, Damon's world comes crashing down.
